Time: Morning, Day 5 Weather: Rain Warnings: RCK!Todd, foul language Characters: Todd Thorn, Emily Wyatt (Closed)
Narrowed eyes watched as the large wall clock in the Greenvale Sheriff Department lobby clicked to 08:59. The station was still quite empty and would probably stay that way for the the remainder of the day. It was raining after all and whenever that happened half the staff usually went home early. No need for the full force to stay on the clock when all of Greenvale stayed locked in their homes during the downpour.
Another minute passed, Todd glanced towards the side entrance door while his right foot tapped impatiently. There was still no movement. Princess now had less than a minute before she would be considered officially late. This would be what? Emily's second tardy this week due to having so called "fun" the night before. He sneered, obviously Emily cared little for her duty as Deputy Sheriff.
At 09:01 on the dot Todd gave the side entrance door one last glare and headed into the main office. He slammed his mug of coffee onto his desk in frustration but since it was filled to the brim the coffee had sloshed down the sides and a half of his drink ended up spilling over the written reports he still had to file from yesterday.
"FUCK!" Now look what the bitch made me do Todd snatched Emily's sweater off the back of her chair, then used it to mop up the coffee. When the desk was clean he balled it up threw it back onto her chair.
The stuff George let her get away with compared to the rest of the staff was criminal. Of course George might not act that way if he knew just how much of an embarrassment she was to the station, maybe he should be the man to fill him in. Todd flopped onto his chair and his jaw clenched as he recalled Vince's tale of Emily's fun last night at the Galaxy of Terror.
--
Vince laughed and took another sip of his coffee, "I was sad I had to leave early and miss the rest of the show but it looks like everyone was having a grand time. I got to say Wyatt sure cleans up nice! He whistled in remembrance, It's a darn shame she doesn't let loose more often, I often forget what a hottie she can be. Agent Scarface certainly got his share of jealous looks last night."
Clint choked on his donut,"Dude you serious?! Wait they were on a date? YOU DIDN'T SAY THAT EARLIER...holy-"
Vince rolled his eyes, "That was a joke Clint, Jesus! Chill! I doubt Wyatt did anything like that with him. Though it was pretty cute, if that other blonde cutie wasn't there I would have assumed it was a date Wyatt kept blushing like a schoolgirl." He grinned and punched Clint lightly on the arm, "Besides with how much Wyatt was drinking I'm pretty sure it was a safe bet her night ended just like the Christmas '04 party. Right Todd?" Vince cackled and slapped his knee. "Oh man I can still can still picture John's face after she puked on his shoes. That shit was priceless- wait no, no, no! Scratch that think the best part was when so clung to Thomas for an hour and sobbed about that movie, geeze what was it...Todd you remember don't you, what am I saying of course you remem-"
Vince's grin dropped slightly when he finally noticed Todds stoic face.
"Hey man...you feeling okay?"
Todd narrowed his eyes and an awkward silence filled the room.
Vince gave a nervous laugh and the shook Todd's shoulder a bit "Aw come on man, don't try to act all serious now! I know for a fact you still appreciate the hilarity of that night! Besides, I'm still waiting on that 'thank you.' by the way."
With a cough Vince stepped closer, wrapped an arm around Todd's shoulder and rubbed his thumb and fingers together. If Vince didn't remove his arm in ten seconds Todd was going to break it in two and then snap his wrist.
When Todd didn't respond Vince threw up his hands in exasperation, " Dude I just gave you enough ammunition to roast Wyatt for the next month. She let that Hoff look-a-like sign her boob! Come. On. That's fucking hilarious!"
Todd didn't find it amusing one bit, not in the least. Emily went out and partied on a work night and not only didn't invite him but took that Special Agent who was supposed to be investigating a MURDER. The man wasn't here for vacation! And if that wasn't bad enough the woman had to get shitfaced and then throw herself at him and along with C list celebrity wanna-be!
Okay Vince didn't actually say she did that but Todd could read between the lines and it wasn't "cute" nor "funny" in the slightest. How could they stand there, smile and joke like this wasn't big deal? Didn't they see how seriously embarrassing her behavior was for the Sheriff Department! Emily was supposed to be George's right hand for Christ's sake, and here she was goofing off and acting like an inebriated college slut on spring break in Cancun. What the fuck was she thinking?
Well it was obvious, she wasn't. Todd seethed.
He knocked Vince's hand off his shoulder, glared at the two men. Before either could say another word to him he left the kitchen.
--
Twenty minutes later here he was still waiting for Miss Party USA to arrive.

Emily stole a glance at her watch as she walked through the department doors and gave a sigh of relief. She just made it on time, well kind of, technically she was two minutes late but she doubt anyone would care. She spotted Vince coming towards her.
"Someone had a good time last night! I'm surprised you made it in killer!" Vince crowed while Emily rolled her eyes. Damn, she almost forgot Vince was at the Galaxy of Terror last night too and here she was hoping to make it to lunch before the jokes at her expense started.
"Ha, ha, ha Vince. I'm not in the mood. I have a killer headache, make fun of me later will ya? Did you get that statement list from Anna's classmates copied for Agent York yet?"
Vince grinned, "Sure did! I left it on your desk a half hour ago...and uuhh just to warn you someone, now I'm not naming any names, just may have let slip the details of your encounter with "the Hoff" last night to, umm-"
Emily groaned, "Oh Vince you couldn't give me a just a few hours of peace before telling Todd could you? You know he's going to keep bringing it up for the next two months."
Vince laughed, "Hey now! I have a duty no a responsibility to spread such things, besides the man pays well for my timely gossip-"
"Whatever he's paying you I'll double it and I won't force you to eat anything I make for a year! Now that's if you stop giving him ammo to use against me and tell me the stupid things he does on your "bro" dates!"
"No cooking for a year? You promise? Well you got yourself a deal sweet thing!" Vince stuck out his hand smirked and said, "Say can I take a look at what the Hoff wrote..."
Emily smacked him in the head with her purse and Vince held his hands in mock surrender, "I kiiiid I KEEEEEEED no need to wound a brotha!" He gave Emily a wink, "Besides, I got a good look last night when you came over all excited to show me his autograph!" This time he was prepared and ducked Emily's second swing. With a dramatic twirl Vince blew her a kiss and a wave before he jogged down the hall towards the storage room.
Emily shook her head and made her way slowly over to the office in a pathetic attempt to mentally steel herself for Todd's forthcoming ridicule.
The sooner he starts the sooner he'll become bored Wyatt.."
And with that though she pulled open the door and entered the office.

Todd's eyes snapped to the door when a hesitant Emily Wyatt entered the office. His eyes continued to follow her around the room as she stopped to hang her coat and purse on the office corner coat rack and watched in silence as she booted up her computer at her desk.
As she pulled out her chair to take a seat Todd finally snapped, "Well, well, well so nice that you've decided to finally grace us with your presence Princess."
Emily paused her eyes shot up to meet Todd's glare with a questioning look.
Don't play dumb
He merely pointed at the wall clock that currently read 09:07.

Emily entered the office expecting to get jumped as soon as she entered the door. That was usually Todd's MO after learning something extremely embarrassing about her. Instead, the office was eerily quiet as she walked in. Was Todd running an errand elsewhere?
That's when she spotted him, he was strangely silent at his desk with a cold expression and just staring. Staring at her. Emily quickly glanced away, this was definitely odd and she was unsure how to deal with this less then hyper Todd Thorne.
As far as she could tell Todd was the only one here, George's office door was open and the lights were off. He must not be in just yet or busy off site.
She held her breath and went about storing her belongings trying to prepare herself for a untimely roar of laughter. This had to be some sort of new joke and there's no way Todd could keep up the "I'm being serious" charade for long. But when she reached her desk his expression didn't change and the silence continued.
She was momentarily distracted however by her missing sweater. She could have sworn she left it hanging on the back of her chair last evening.
That's weird...did Linda come and borrow it again? But she usually leaves a note. With my luck the same black hole that took my police notepad the other day took this too...
With a sigh Emily began to pull out her chair to sit down when Todd's harsh greeting finally cut the silence and kept her standing.
Woah somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
When Todd pointed to the clock Emily dramatically rolled her eyes, this must be a new tactic to get on her nerves.
"Oh save it Todd, I got here like 5 minutes ago I was just talking to Vince in the hallway."
When she said Vince's name Todd's face contorted into a a sneer. What's with that face did Vince take his daily sprinkle donut today or something?
"Geeze, what's your problem? Did Vince take the last donut? It's not like we can't run out to buy some more you big baby."
That seemed to be the wrong thing to say as Todd narrowed his eyes and stood from his chair. and stalked around the opposite side of the long communal computer desk towards her.

Todd's patience was wearing thin he had no desire to snip back and forth with Princess today. She wanted to know what he's problem was, well she's going to hear it.
He stopped just short of John O's desk who had the corner seat directly next to Emily's.
She looked wearily at him on his approach and crossed her arms waiting but didn't say anything. Perfect.
"You want to know what my problem is?" He had made sure to use air quotes to emphasis the word problem
Emily started to open her mouth, probably to say something snarky but he steamrolled her.
"My problem isn't about some fucking DONUTS it's with you!"

"What the fuck did I do to get your panties in a twist today Todd? JESUS I just got here!" She paused and then threw up her hands. "Wait! You know what? Never mind I don't want to hear it and frankly right now I don't care why you are all pissy. I have a headache a ton of shit I need to write up for George on the Lumber-mill excursion yesterday. I don't have the time to bicker with you right now." Emily focused her attention back on her desktop. With one hand she began to fruitlessly massage her temple to try and calm its pounding. With the other she shooed Todd away, "Why don't you just turn around, go back to your desk and we can pretend the other isn't in the same room."
She bent down to input her computer log in and password, prepared to tune the butthead out...that was until his hand suddenly slammed on O's desktop and sent papers and pens flying.

Todd took a step towards Emily and the now shattered remains of John O's "#1 Daddy" mug. As the ceramic shards crunched under his feet he couldn't help but imagine eventually doing the same to Emily's broken body.
That thought gave Todd a sudden thrill...a rush of pure elation. He smiled and the blonde deputy took a small step back as he drew closer.
Even though he now had her undivided attention Todd could still feel the rage inside him slowly but surely boiling to the surface. It hadn't help matters that Emily was being such a mouthy bitch this morning. She was making it harder and harder for him to keep his anger in check. Telling him to go back to his desk? Hell no, if anyone should give orders it was him! It was time for Emily to start showing him the respect he deserved and there was no time like the present to put this cunt in her place.

There was something very wrong with the way Todd was acting this morning. In all her years of knowing the guy, even at his worst, she'd never seen him act like this. She did not like the man standing before her with his cruel smirk and his somewhat predatory gaze. It filled her with a cold dread, it was like he was a whole other person. She hoped George or someone would arrive just to break the tension.
She stepped back, it was just a baby step though, she wasn't going to let someone like Todd frighten her even if he was acting unusual. If she could stand up to a tirade from George she could sure as hell put up with a creepy Todd. Emily just prayed she could do it without the waterworks this time round though.
"Yo, hold it mister!" She pointed to the remains of John's mug, "You know John loved that thing...a-and you better clean it up before George comes in cause I'm nn-not."
She mentally cursed the slight tremble in her voice and to compensate she put her hands back firmly on her hips and gave an pointed glare of her own.

Todd rolled his eyes, "Wait so now you are worried about what George might think or do? A little to late for that now isn't it? Where was this concern last night for what George might have thought while you acted like a common whore with the visiting agent from the FBI.
Emily went pale and her eyes narrowed. Todd sneered and as he took another step closer swiped a finger along her desk as if he was inspecting for dust. Shaking his head slightly as he examined his finger he continued, "Oh yes, don't try and deny it, Vince told me all about how you made an ass of yourself and the position of Deputy Sheriff. You're not only an embarrassment to the entire Greenvale Sheriff Department but the big man himself and finally showed what you really are, a common whore. Todd lowered his gaze cocked his head to the side and said, "Tch really had to go throwing yourself at two men didn't you? FBI wasn't enough you had to go after a celeb look-a-like?"
Todd grinned as a range of various emotions quickly crossed Emily's face. With his accusations finally sinking in her pale white face suddenly flushed with embarrassment. Her open displays of her emotions would make her an awful poker player. With increasing glee he watched as her embarrassment finally turned to anger.
She looked like she was about to cry but he knew better then anyone it was a side effect of her growing rage. Her glassy eyes narrowed, her hands began to clench and unclench and he could see her shoulder's began to tremble.
He always thought she looked best when enraged it was only reason why he constantly annoyed her. "Honestly I still don't understand why you were chosen over someone like me. Clearly George wasn't think-" He stopped short as something had just dawned on him. "Of course how could I be so blind..."
He reached out and snatched Emily's arm and yanked her closer. She flinched and attempted to break his hold but Todd held firm. He leaned down and in a harsh whisper in her ear said, "You're fucking him. Probably been doing so since you've started here." His gripped tightened and he snarled, "Makes sense, why would a man of George's talents promote a useless cunt like you unless he was getting something in return. Not that I blame him. That has to be it since over the past couple days you've proven just how incompetent you are."
Todd's grip squeezed harder and with another jerk he brought Emily closer. As one of his fingers traced a line over her collarbone he silky asked, "So tell me Princess what was George so angry about the other day hmmmmm? I've never heard him so enraged, did he finally realize that you've set your job prospects higher? That you've spread your legs for Agent Scarface to get into the FBI?"

Emily couldn't believe what was happening...this had to be some sort of nightmare. She tried to wriggle from Todd's grasp but it was no use as his grip was like iron. In fact her struggles only forced him to yank her closer, which she really did not want. For the first time in ...well ever was Todd scaring the crap out of her. Her arm was numb and her head was swirling with his accusations. Did everyone in the department think she was a incompetent fool too? The thought made her sick to her stomach. She desperately wanted to break free from his hold and run to the bathroom and vomit.
When Todd leaned in closer Emily flinched and couldn't suppress a shudder when his hot breath was on her ear but it was his venomous words that felt like he a kneed her in the gut.
Fucking...George?
She had scarcely enough time to wrap her head around that cruel statement before Todd threw another accusation in her face: That not only was she fucking George but she was fucking Agent York in a sick ploy for better employment.
Un-fucking-believable.
And just like that her self control shattered and Emily saw red. It was instinct really, she wanted to hurt him like he hurt her with his words, her knee flew up and slammed into directly into his crotch.
Her sudden attack made Todd let go in an instant. He grunted and a long line of profanity fell from his lips, but was not loud enough to bring others running. He staggered backwards and clutched at his groin but he didn't fall over. Now this was a surprise, the bastard was a lot stronger then she thought he was. Unfortunately for her they were in no "friendly" spar now and if their last fight was any indication Emily knew she couldn't let Todd get the chance to hit her, she just wouldn't be able to stand up to his blows.
Since Todd was preoccupied with the state of his manhood Emily fortunately still had the element of surprise on her side. She stepped forward and delivered a swift roundhouse kick which sent Todd flying face first into a set of file cabinets behind him. But still the man didn't fall down.
What the fuck- maybe the bastard could hold his own in a fight with George
Todd slowly rose and turned to face her, he was breathing heavily now and he angrily swiped at his nose that was slowly trickling blood. If looks cool kill Emily would be dead 10 times over. He looked like he was barely containing his rage. With a sneer he spit out some blood and a loose tooth onto the floor and took a step towards her.
Heart hammering Emily took a step back and her eyes darted to the door. It was clear now that she wouldn't be able to take Todd out by herself, at least not unless she wanted to fire her weapon (which she didn't). If she could make it to the door she could get help...
But Emily wasn't able to get more than a few steps before her right arm was painfully wrenched backwards and one more found herself in Todd's tight grip.

The pain was excruciating. Emily's blows had caught Todd so completely off guard that he was momentarily out of breath. He also had a suspicion one of his ribs cracked after being kicked into the filing cabinets.
He spit out a cracked tooth and wiped the blood trickling out of the corner of his mouth. Any semblance of self control he may of had before was gone now. How dare she hit him and make him bleed just for telling her to stop acting like slut.
By the shocked expression on Emily's face it was obvious she was amazed he was even still standing.
That's right kid, you picked the wrong person to fight today and you are going to be so very, very sorry
He was going break her right here right now and no one was going to stop him.
Emily's eyes flicked to the doorway she was going to make a run for it. I don't think so.
Within three steps he had her again within his grasp. She attempted to break his hold so again so he twisted her arm further almost to the breaking point and dug his nails further into her skin.
She wasn't getting away, not this time. He leaned forward and in a harsh and low whisper said, "And just where do you think you are going Princess? The fight is just getting started," and then pushed her into into the line of desks.
Papers and case files scattered as well as a couple of Steve's family photos shattered as they fell to the ground from Emily's sudden body slam. Todd only smirked and the mess and yanked Emily back off the desk by her hair and threw her to the floor.

The familiar black SUV finally pulled into the parking lot of the Greenvale Police Department. George glanced at the water pouring down his windows. Apart from a few other vehicles, including Emily's and Todd's, the parking lot was empty. George sighed as he opened the door to his vehicle into the downpour. Even during the rain, there was no rest for the law. "Besides, I'm probably the scariest thing lurking in the rain..." he thought.
The moment he opened the door, he heard a commotion coming from the offices. He immediately drew his gun and rushed over to the door, listening in for any noises. He could hear a man's voice from the other side...Todd's.
George burst in to find Todd and Emily in the middle of a fight, with Todd apparently winning. He quickly pocketed his gun and rushed over to grab Todd off of Emily and pin him up against the wall, holding his arms tightly behind his back. "You will cease your fighting THIS INSTANT." He roared. After a bit, he let go and turned to the two of them.
"Both of you will now explain why I came in to seeing you two fighting. And I want the full story..."

Todd was just about to stomp on Emily when he was violently shoved into a wall and his arms were pinned back in a death grip.
His muscles tensed and he tried to turn his head to see who would DARE INTERRUPT HIM-
George's roar quickly answered that question.
George. Fuck me
As crazed and blood thirsty as Todd was at that very moment to snap Emily's neck just hearing George's commanding tone caused a switch in his brain to flip. Suddenly his rage was gone and replaced with cold fear.
When George let him go to help Princess off the ground Todd took a step back and wondered how the hell he was going to spin this and save his ass.

George's sudden appearance could not have come at a better time as Emily didn't think she could have dodge Todd's next attack.
With Todd immobilized she slowly sat up and glanced behind to see the blood and the rage leave Todd's face as he finally realized just who had interrupted the fight.
Emily looked down and examined her stinging hands. Her latest trip to the floor landed her straight into the shards of John's broken #1 Daddy mug. There were a few pieces embedded but thankfully nothing too serious a trip to the bathroom with first aid kit wouldn't fix.
Distracted by the state of her hands Emily didn't hear George come up behind her and she just about jumped out of her skin when she felt the Sheriff hands under her arms to gently lift her on her feet.
She blushed, Todd's previous accusation of the true nature of her and George's "relationship" reverberated through her head.
Fucking him
Once she was firmly on her feet again and with her back still to the men in the room, muttered a small "Thank you," and quickly stepped away from George's grasp. She eyed the door wishing hse could just run out of there without a word, but she knew that wasn't a possibility.
So with a sigh she turned and first met Todd's fearful eyes and then locked on George's angry ones and lied, "No-nothing Sir. We just had an argument. You know how Todd gets uh he was just a little too animated and pushed me a little too hard..aand I wasn't expecting it so-uh and I... fell."
Her eyes fell to the floor. Why did she lie?
You're fucking him. Probably been doing so since you've started here. Todd's words echoed through her mind.
Embarrassment that's why. She really didn't want to have to explain the reason behind the fighting. With that sort of talk George might take her off the case to prove a point...
Again she eyed the door wishing she could run and be alone. Awway from Todd, away from George. She needed to time to process just what the fuck happened.

George sighed as the two recoiled. If there wasn't a good explanation for why the two were at each other's throats, he was prepared to have them both kicked out of the Sheriff's Department, even Emily. He helped Emily up and glanced at the two of them, noticing the fear in his eyes. "Good. You understand who is in charge here, Mr. Thorne." he thought, glaring at both of them.
He crossed his arms as he listened to Emily attempt to stammer through her story. Her nervous gestures combined with her eyes shifting to the floor sent up two red flags to George that she was lying. "You know, Emily, most normal people do not break out into a fight when they get into an argument, especially trained law enforcers. I heard enough to know that he didn't just simply push you over." He replied in a stern voice, keeping his gaze focused on the blonde in front of him.
He began to walk towards her. "You're already in enough trouble as it is. Don't make things worse by lying to me." He then turned to Todd, with a menacing glare in his eye and a scowl on his lips. "And what about you, Todd. Care to explain why you beat Emily to a pulp?"
