It was a cloudy day in Ponyvale. It wasn't raining just yet, but it would soon - and that cast a certain unease over this portion of Equestria.
For example, there was one pony who was galloping at a brisk pace, head held high as he made his way along. His white coat shone even in the muted sunlight, neat chestnut mane flopping as he went. Rhyme-Time was one of the hardest-working unicorns in Ponyvale...and right now, he had to run some errands and get back to Riddle Whisper's estate. He had, unfortunately, been up far too late cleaning the night before...and he was feeling just a little irritable.
Stumbling in exhaustion, he skidded to a halt, kicking dust up onto his off-white jacket. Well, THAT was just perfect. Just what he needed. He didn't have TIME for this!
...But he WAS tired. Maybe just...a moment.
Trotting up to a nearby tree, he sat down, tail flicking to obscure the bird figurine emblazoned upon his haunch.

[pff i can't resist this]
The leaves of the tree Rhyme-Time decided to sit under rustled slightly. It was a slight sound and movement that could be easily missed... but then they rustled again, this time sending a couple leaves to rain down.
"O-oh, dear..." a quiet and unseen voice could be heard. One would assume it was coming from the tree, and they would be right.
"No... no..." it whispered with urgency. Shortly after, a branch cracked loudly and a tan unicorn with a dark brown mane came crashing down on the ground beside the pony below him with a scream. Well, that was embarrassing! At least he didn't actually fall on him... oh, but he did seem to accidentally get more dust on his nice jacket...
"Oh. Rhyme-Time." the pony known as Butter Biscuit spoke meekly as he stared up at him, still upside down. "Excuse me, I was just... watching the squirrels. Trying to, at least."
