"It's David. Would you turn that music down? I can barely hear you."

"David?"
[Music volume reduced, just barely]
"What a surprise! I tried to phone you at the Sheriff's Department after the police business was concluded, but you never picked up. I'm afraid lunch would have been out of the question anyway, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to catch up later."
[Pause]
"...So how has Greenvale been treating you? I'd have assumed you were here to relax, but the David I know doesn't have that word in his vocabulary."

"Greenvale's fine, and I am on vacation, York. I lost my cell phone, long story. I'm not calling about anything official, although I do have plenty on that note to talk to you about later... This is kind of a personal favor."
[Long pause]
"...Do you have any spare suits I could borrow? Not work issue; I'm thinking formal, not too fancy. Something just came up that I wasn't expecting."

"Taking Charlotte out on the town already? That was faster than I expected. I must say, she's quite striking, David! I met her just this morning, in case she didn't already tell you. The family resemblance to her mother is uncanny-"

"...Just yes or no, York. And would you turn that music down?"

"I did turn it down. Didn't you hear? As for your question, you'll be pleased to know I have a surplus of attire for 'special occasions' hanging in my bedroom closet right now. What's your favorite color?"

"Uhhh... Black. Or some kind of bluish-gray."

"Well, then I'm afraid you're out of luck... Although I can't say your answer sounded completely honest. What about green? It would set off your date's hair nicely... [Muffled] -that word? Complementary? [Clearly] It's... complementary. Or so I hear."

"I don't need your opinions, York, I just need a suit. A plain, dark suit, and a tie. If you can't manage that concept, get whats-his-name to explain it to you. I don't have ti-"
[Sounds of shower stopping]
"Look, can you just reel off a list of what you have? I don't mean to be rude, but I'm kind of in a hurry."

"Zach? Zach doesn't know anything about clothes. Why would he? ...Okay, I'm standing in front of my closet right now. First up, I have this red-and-white pinstriped number.... The stripes kind of wind themselves around the legs and arms like on a candy cane. It's festive, but probably not what you're looking for. I'm guessing you're not a polka dot fan either, which is a shame, because your problem would be solved right now. What else..."
[Rummaging sounds]
"Did you know that the color 'teal' is named after a duck? How does Charlotte feel about birds, David?"

"I knew this was a bad... Okay, let me temper my criteria. Do you have anything I could wear that won't blind her on sight, or cause her any sort of emotional distress? We've kind of had a rough couple of days and I don't need your... unique fashion sense prolonging the experience."

"You're a hard man to please, David. But I'll persevere."
[Rummaging]
"Sunset Boulevard... Eye of the Tiger... Red October... No, Soylent Fuschia would probably violate the criteria he gave us... What about the Cherryblossom?"
