Time: Day 4, Afternoon Weather: Cloudy Warnings: None Characters: Wes Uccello, Kevin Ashcroft
Kevin had hard time getting up that morning, he didn’t get much sleep and felt tired to death, the only place where he managed to get some internet connection in his room seemed to stop working for some reason, and here he was now, sitting at his table in diner and torturing the laptop, he always felt a lot calmer when he knew everything was working like it had to, even if he didn’t need anything at the moment. Sometimes he thought he developed this fear after he was left without working equipment in few quite dangerous situations, although he knew nothing threatening would happen to him here, in Greenvale, Kevin was still tinkering his laptop to make it work, just in case.
There was noting to do around this town, for him, anyway. Not that he wanted to work during his vacation...But,he was looking forward to fixing that FBI agent’s car, he’d love to plant a bomb in the engine if he could find all of the parts he needed for it, which most likely wouldn't happen, but still, he could dream, couldn’t he?

For the first time in his life, Wes walked into a diner and was disappointed by the lack of a man wearing a gas mask and his overly formal aide.
He'd dropped by the diner after his non-conversation at the library, half to have lunch and half in hopes of finding those weirdos who left money for him a few days ago. They'd ignored two emails from him, and owing them money bothered him. Really bothered him. But they weren't here, so it was time for a regular lunch.
Of course, nothing he did in this town turned out "regular..."
As Wes went to find an out-of-the-way seat, he couldn't help but notice that there was someone taking apart a laptop. in a diner. He gave a quizzical look as he passed.

Kevin was always getting distracted very easily and this time was no exception, he used to pay attention to people around him and noticed the man who entered the diner right away. He looked somehow very familiar, Kevin couldn’t remember where he had seen him, but suddenly he realized who the man was and jumped off his seat, looking rather excited. “It’s Jilles’s grumpy brother! “ He thought happily, practically running up to him and giving Wes a hug from his back. “Oh, Mr. get-out-of-my-face, I missed you so much. What brings you here? Your daddy has a new job for me?” He smirked, not bothering that some people in diner were already staring at them.

He hadn't thought too much of the bright-haired man until he heard him get up. Wes turned to look, but before he could he felt someone grab him from behind. He yelped in a rather undignified way, and struggled as if it was a restraining hold and not a hug. It didn't occur to him who this was until the last comment about his father. This clingy, enthusiastic associate... that kid who his brother didn't want to run "errands" alone. His brother was always so protective of kids. And of family...
Wes hadn't expected to ever run into him again. In a cynical way, he didn't even expect him to be around to run into. But here he was, being tackled in a diner.
He'd moved to Greenvale to get away from his old life, but it seemed to be moving back to be with him, a little more every day.
"Hey! Get the hell off me, uh.. you.." Wes couldn't remember the name. "Not you, for sure! I wouldn't know. Off."

“Too bad, I loved working for your father, he’s cool.” Kevin slightly pouted in disappointment, but didn’t seem like he was planning to let go off Wes anytime soon, hugging him tightly. He was really glad to see him, even though they didn’t interact much in past. “How’s your sweet, handsome brother, is he here too?” He gave Wes a smile, embracing him even tighter.”This vacation won’t be so boring with you two around!”

Wes was in disbelief as this guy continued on. He kept struggling as the other man made a comment about Dominick and pouted. It made Wes think about yesterday morning's meeting with the agent again; come to think of it, could Kevin be a witness to testify? Probably not...
"I guess he is if you're a low-life," he responded quietly.
There was then a noticeable change in behavior when the subject moved to his brother. Talking about his father made him mad, but the brother seemed to upset him. "No, he's not here," Wes said, his voice heavy. "As for how he is... I was kind of hoping you'd know. But I'm sure that's giving you way too much credit."
Of course, once he was done indulging in worry and self-pity the rest of the diner came to his attention. This guy was making a spectacle and talking about family, and people were staring. Not good! Wes started to look really anxious.
"Now let go! They're all staring!" he yelled impatiently, but whatever amount of time the other man could've reacted in would've been too long; he almost immediately ramped up the struggle and attempted to elbow Kevin in the face.

Kevin winced quietly, when Wes’s elbow hit him right in the nose, letting him go and covering his nose with a hand. It seemed Wes hadn’t changed much, he still acted…well, like a total jerk. “Hey, that hurt! And I am going to ask a girl out today!” He whined, but suddenly lightened up again, as if remembering something. “Say, you look pretty tense, you really need to get laid or something, I bet I can find you a lady for a night at The Galaxy of Terror. Care to join us?”

Wes retreated and brushed off the front of his shirt, as if trying to wipe away some invisible traces of the other man. He didn't look sorry-in fact, he looked relieved and gave a little grin, although that might not have gone over well with the "crowd" that was watching.
"There's worse that could've happened to your face," he said, lightly tapping the corner of his mouth that had been reconstructed.
Of course, all of his coolness and smarm he'd managed disappeared at the next comment. His eyes widened, giving a cartoonish effect with his small irises. "Ahhh... No! The hell is wrong with you?!" He was struggling with the proposition for a few different reasons, not the least of which being that he was still thinking of Kevin as this kid his brother knew...
He slinked into a booth, silently implying that if they were going to talk they would have to sit. Or maybe that he wanted Kevin to go away.

“Sorry, I just thought it might help you relax a bit.” Kevin shrugged, sitting down near him.
“So, you’re here alone? I thought only boring, lawful citizens lived here. Well, except that some guy who murdered a chick recently.” Kevin noted thoughtfully. “But, then again, he probably isn’t from here, oh, it could actually be that FBI agent himself, that will be funny if it turns out to be true.” Kevin had no idea what and why he was ranting about, but it seemed those suspiciously looking flowers he smoked that morning were better than he hoped them to be.

Wes looked a bit annoyed that Kevin was sitting down with him, but even so he was calming down. Of course, being calmer didn't mean that he was less annoyed, just that he was less worked up. "No," he snipped, immediately after the apology.
He leaned against the table on his elbows and tried to look at his old acquaintance, but had trouble doing so. His eyes drifted off to see if the other occupants of the diner were still staring.
"I am a lawful citizen, damnit," he mumbled before the other man had even finished talking. But the phrase "FBI agent" caught his attention.
"... Hm? What agent?" Of course, "which agent" would have been more accurate to what he was thinking.

“You know, that guy who investigates the murder, I don’t remember his name, but I’ll be fixing his car soon, and I’m fighting off the thoughts of a sabotage.” Kevin sighted quietly, as if deeply disappointed. He’d love to do it, but it was way too risky for many reasons.
“If you could help me, maybe we can do it together.” He said it more quietly, smiling at Wes innocently, as if he didn’t just ask him to help kill someone.

The guy investigating the murder? Wes figured that he wasn't talking about Henning; he was in town "on vacation," after all. And Wes didn't think that there was anything wrong with his car, since he'd gotten to their rendezvous fine. This was probably the other agent he'd mentioned. Clearly, Kevin wasn't very fond of him.
"What, do you actually have a reason to suspect him?" Wes asked, out of curiosity.
The gravity of the sabotage comment had missed him until he was asked to help. He sat and stared for a moment, mouth slightly open, trying to process the request.
"What makes you think I'd want to help you kill someone I've never met?" he managed to ask, sounding indignant.

“No, not really, I just guessed it would be funny if he turned out to be the murderer” He shrugged. “I just don’t like the FBI agents, and I thought we could take out at least one. My late boyfriend told me that you should always follow your instincts when you want to kill someone. “ He said with dreamy eyes. “Ah, I miss him so much; too bad he was executed on an electric chair, he was such a sweetie.”

Wes didn't seem satisfied with the 'it would be funny' answer. "Don't you think it's better not to suspect someone as a joke?" he asked, and his eyebrow twitched.
He again stared in disbelief at everything else Kevin had just said. "... Okay. First off, you do realize that the murder of an FBI agent will bring in more FBI agents, right? Second, don't you think that it's a terrible idea to to listen to the advice of a guy who was executed?"
He lowered his voice. "Third, you don't kill cops or feds. I know you never really joined, but that's one of the rules, and for a good reason."

“Well, yeah, I guess.” Kevin seemed more serious for few seconds, thinking that Wes did have a point; besides, one FBI agent was more than enough for him to feel comfortable in Greenvale. “Are you sure you don’t want to come to the Galaxy of Terror? It’ll be fun.” Suddenly his seriousness was gone again and Kevin was smiling at Wes like an idiot. “ I really need more of those flowers.”
