Time: Early Morning, Day 4 Weather: Dark, Cloudy Warnings: Mentions of Smoking Man, and nightmares Characters: Ashlin Thomas, Clover Foster
It was still dark out, Ashlin realized as she woke up. She wouldn't be getting back to sleep she knew as she hugged Bo-Bo to her. She never did after a nightmare. It had been awhile since she'd had a nightmare this bad. Telling Michael had brought it all back she supposed, they would go away soon. This one was different from the nightmares she used to have though, Ash thought as she pulled herself out of bed. It had started out strange enough, with a man she'd never met before pushing her against a fence and . . .
She blushed, frowning slightly as she thought about what had happened. Ashlin had never kissed anyone before but she didn't think it was suppose to be like that. Not that it hadn't felt good, but-but that was the confusing part. She'd been terrified but it had still, she didn't think something like a kiss was suppose to work like that. And then those monsters had shown up. . . The nightmare had gotten slightly more normal after that. She'd been taken away by the doctors after she tried to talk about the monsters, they'd locked her up in a white room, had her strapped down. That was when the room had filled with smoke, cigarette smoke. Ashlin had woken up not long after that. Shivering slightly as she thought about the dream Ashlin turned up the heat in her shower. She didn't notice that she'd made the water almost scalding hot, or that she spent longer than usual just scrubbing away at her skin.
By the time it was actually light out Ash had managed to organize almost all her stock, and make a good amount of headway into the lotion for Michael. Most of the work there was already done for her, she just had to tweak what she already had. Distantly Ashlin wondered when the paper would get here. Hmmm perhaps it would be a good idea to get some subscriptions for the store, have a stack of papers for sale. She'd have to ask whoever delivered the paper about that. And with that though she went back to work, keeping half an eye on the door, waiting for the paper.

Clover started the job, delivering newspapers to the residents and shops, earlier than the rest of the days. She had heard somewhere that the FBI agent, the Sheriff and the police woman (which she didn't know their names) would approach to the crime scene to investigate. And Clover did not want to miss something so interesting, she wanted to know more about the case. So today she wanted to finish soon delivering the newspapers. She worked daster and... wrong. She was rushing her work,so she was driving very fast with the bike, throwing the newspaper to the houses ,not aiming very well. She thought she had broken some house's window glass. But did not stop to check. She guessed If she did, someone would shake an angry fist at her later.
She had already finished distributing the newspapers for almost all the houses, and she had left a couple of stores. The bad thing was that at the stores she could not just throw the newspaper, she had to get off the bike and deliver it in person. Se parked the bike outside the shop, looked at the front of the building, and was able to read ''Sun Drops'' Clover did not remember this store. She picked up a newspaper and headed for the door.
She knocked.

When Ash noticed the blond at the door she bounced over. "Good Morning." she said brightly, though there was a slight tiredness about her. Ash was wearing one of her normal outfits: a long, slightly baggy purple sweatshirt with a lime green octopus, a skirt, and one of her knit hats. It was all very bright, with mismatched socks with strange patterns. Tilting her head slightly she asked curiously, noticing the paper "Are you the papergirl?"

Clover watched the woman for a few seconds before replying to her question. She thought the woman's clothes were so strange... Moved the newspaper in direction to the woman, waiting for her to get it. ''Yes, I am.'' she said moving her eyes to another direction. She felt awkward looking at peoples eyes, when she was having a conversation. And even more with a someone she didn't know.

"Thank you" she chirped taking the paper. She frowned slightly when the other girl wouldn't look her in the eye, but let it go. Just because everyone she'd met so far had been nice didn't mean that people would suddenly stop thinking she was strange. That was a little too much to hope for she supposed. "Excuse but I was hoping to see about getting a larger subscription, for my shop you see." Glancing back into the almost finished bookstore she added "I'm opening a bookshop."
Deciding to try be friendly, despite her tiredness, she offered her hand to shake. "I'm Ashlin by the way."

Clover was glad when the woman finally took the newspaper. She was about to turn around and go away with her bicycle just as suddenly as the woman spoke to her. Clover glanced at Ashley. "Oh ... Yes, it is possible.I would have to talk to my boss about it though." Then she glanced into the building. 'A book store, cool.' She thought.
Although it took a few seconds to react, Clover shook her hand too. ''Clover.'' she said.

"Nice to meet you!" Getting a thoughtful expression on her face she asked curiously "Should I write some kind of note you could give him? Or is there a number I should call?" Clover was a nice name, it reminded her of four leaf clovers, luck. She had a four-leaf clover she'd found once dried in one of her journals. She couldn't quite remember which one though, she'd found it when she was in Scotland, which was rather ironic. Would it have been more lucky if she found it in Ireland she wondered. Suddenly struck by inspiration Ash made a happy almost trill, and bolted back to the counter and began scribbling in her notebook. Of course if she just. . . and then if she. . .
Twirling around with a happy little laugh Ash clapped her hands, pleased with the minor breakthrough she'd had. Noticing Clover still standing at the door she told her "You can come in if you'd like. I just made some scones," she'd been awake far too early this morning after all "and you can have one if you'd like. They're cinnamon."

''Uh...Yeah, I ha-'' But before she could finish the sentence, Ashlin was in the bulding, near the counter, doing something...And twirling around looking all happy. Clover stared at her with a sightly surprised expresion. 'What was that about?' She thought. She wanted to get out of the place, it was so awkward. But then she heard the word...SCONES! She loved sweets and pastry. Of course she could stay a bit, and eat some delicious scones, before heading to the crime scene to stalk the cops.
She walked in the bookstore, and aproached to the counter where Ash was. ''Uhm, I would like some please.'' she whispered a little embarrassed. She was shy around most of the people she liked or that were nice to her.

Smiling happily Ashlin offered the plate that had a small pile of scones on it to the girl. She'd found as a kid that keeping busy helped distract her from nightmares. It was part of the reason she'd had so many different hobbies growing up. Which reminded her, which box had she put her stamp collection in again? Tilting her head slightly she said sheepishly "I'm sorry you were saying something weren't you." Blushing slightly and making a gesture with her hands she said "I get . . .distracted, sometimes." She fiddled with her pencil she glanced at the walls. They looked nice, but something was missing she thought. It was bright the way she liked it but somehow still . . .plain. Hmmm. . .

Clover picked up a scone from the plate and munched on it.A delicious breakfast, and for free.Today was gonna be a good day. As she munched the scone, she turned around to see better the inside of the store. She expected to find any good book about taxidermy in those shelves, in the future. She turned around to Ashlin, and swallowed the food. '' Eh yeah. I have a number.'' She put her hand into the pants pocket and searched for something A few seconds later she pulled out a crumpled paper, which had written on it the phone of her boss, in case of an emergency. For example this situation. ''It's my boss' number, you can call him yourself.'' Left the paper on the table and picked up another scone.

Glancing behind her at the number she smiled a tad distractedly "Thank you." Tapping her pencil against her lip she smiled as an idea came to her. She grabbed a chair and once she stood safely atop it, began drawing something on the wall behind the counter. Noticing that she seemed to enjoy the scones she told her "You can take some of those with you if you like." She had made far too many anyway, and what was on the plate was just a small number. Between her and Bo-Bo they could only eat so many after all. Hmm perhaps she'd bring some with her when she went to visit Michael tomorrow. When Agent York's words about the way to a man's heart came back to her she flushed bright red. That wasn't-she wasn't trying to. . . She just had too many scones.

Probably from now she would have to carry more newspapers, for the bookstore. It was not good, she would have to carry more weight on the bike. 'What a pain.' She thought. On a second thought, if she could eat yummy pastries,it wouldnt matter.
"Well ... I have to go." said outloud, not knowing if Ash would listen anything from up there. Clover picked up a couple of scones and put them in her small messenger bag. "Goodbye ..." And walked out, leaving Ashlin drawing on the wall.
She mounted her bicycle. ''Now I have to go to Greenvale forest park.'' said to herself and smiled.
