Name: Todd Thorne
Age: 28 going on 8 (according to Emily)
Gender: Male
Place of Residence: Apartment #2b, same Apartment complex as Thomas, Carol and Fiona but he lives in the other building.
Type of Car: 2000 Blue Ford Ranger
License Plate: AWESOMET
Occupation/Skills: Greenvale Police officer. Accomplished ballet dancer (a hobby his mother forced on him for years) but would rather die then own up to that. He's also a big fan of City Lights and active in the online fan community, again he would die before admitting that to anyone. He is actually online friends with Sheriff Deputy Emily Wyatt and often leaves comments on her blog, though neither realize they are in fact co workers.
He's also a big comic book and movie fanatic his apartment is filled with movie posters, comics and a dvd library that takes up an entire wall in his living room.
Appearance: Tall, athletic build, sandy blonde short hair, blue eyes and a dazzling white smile that can make angels in heaven weep. (his words)
Personality: Believes he's some sort of Casanova just because several ladies within the sheriff department love to fawn all over him. Most of these women are the young interns taken in by his good looks...but in reality most of the full time female employees could really care less.
Todd has big dreams of being Sheriff of Greenvale. Resented that Emily Wyatt gets to work so closely with George Woodman, the current Sheriff, and would be the most likely candidate for the job when the man retires.
His jealousy often causes him to push Emily's buttons in an attempt to make her lose her cool and show George just how "unfit she is for the job."
Well that's what he keeps telling himself anyway...
His daily annoyance may have started in malice but over the years he's not only come to respect Deputy Wyatt as an officer but enjoys their daily verbal sparring too much to ever stop now. In reality he considers her a buddy and someone he could hang out with a beer and a pizza. Unknown to Emily he's actually pretty protective of her and gets very irritated when any of his other collages try to pick on her about looks, cooking, or job performance. That's his job thank you very much!
Todd has a fear of drowning due to never learning how to swim and is quite fearful of George Woodman despite how much he looks up to the man. He finds himself tongue tied and wishes he could have an easier repor with the boss. The man is his idol and Todd wants desperately to impress him. If Todd could accomplish everything the George has done in life he would be a very happy man. He even follow's George's strict work out routine (at home) with his training partners "Batman" and "Superman" just to be a little more like him.
He also thinks George's glare is pretty terrifying.
History: Grew up in Greenvale with his parents and younger sister. His sister attends college and lives in California while his parents are retired and live in Arizona. Really he's just an ordinary guy with a normal family. The only real drama he gets in life is from his favorite tv shows.
RP Sample:
Behind the reception desk at the Sheriff Department (it was his turn this month), a young and handsome man watched the wall clock slowly click to 8:20am. His fingers idly tapped the sign in log and his pearly white grin grew wider and wider with every passing minute.
Deputy Wyatt was late. Very late. Going on forty minutes now and boy was the big chief mighty un pleased. Stan said he had spotted her last night laughing and drinking some mysterious guy at SWERY65 last night. Todd could not WAIT to press her for the details. Emily and alcohol made interesting combination and if there was a guy involved there's a chance something scandalous as well!
Despite the downpour of rain outside and the gloom within the station he just knew it was going to just going to be a fabulous day.
The sudden bang of the side door opening caught his attention. Emily has finally arrive and man was she a sight for sore eyes! Her bedhead alone told him she rolled straight out of bed and came straight to the office. But what's that in her hand? Wait...is that Tupperware?
Todd really couldn't believe his luck today! That small container just had to contain another one of her failed baking attempts. Really, she was making this too easy for him...
He watched as she shook the water off her coat and umbrella and he called out to her.
"Hey Wyatt, nice of you to finally grace us with your presence!"
She shot him a look that could kill and made a beeline for the office.
Todd just smirked. Cinderella may have finally it to the ball but with the Prince's mood this morning it would have been better just to say home!
It wasn't long before he could hear the man's muffled yelling. Todd stood up and whistled on his way to the kichten from some more coffee. Yes, it was going to to be a good day.
