So you want to apply for a Canon, do you? With such a large cast of interesting characters, we'd love to see you join the fray. We just have a few rules and guidelines for you to note:
- BE IN CHARACTER. If you're playing a canon character, you need to be sure that you're playing them accurate to the game. It would be really weird to play George as cheerful or Thomas as butch, wouldn't it? Make sure you're true to the role you are playing. We will be picky, especially with main lead roles like York, George, Thomas, and Emily. If you want to exceed the suggested amount for your RP sample, please do - in fact, we encourage it. Show us you know your stuff!
- BE THOUGHTFUL. Many of the characters, despite being wonderfully vivid characters, are not actually given a lot of backstory in the game. You're welcome to flesh the characters out with a bit of headcanon, so long as it fits in with the character's present reality (see my example post as Harry/Michael). The canon app is shorter because we know the characters quite well already - what we need to see is that you understand them.
- ONE CANON PER PERSON (WITH CERTAIN EXCEPTIONS). Easy one. One canon per person so everyone can have a chance. Yes, your lead Mun is technically playing two (Harry and Michael) but the two characters behave as a unit - similarly, we WILL allow Issac and Issiah to be played by the same player if desired.
- RESERVES ARE ALLOWED FOR CHARACTERS, BUT ONLY TEMPORARILY. If you are interested in playing a character and want to reserve it, make a post in this thread. We will hold the character for three days to give you a chance to turn in your application.
- BE REASONABLY ACTIVE. We're busy people and we understand that life sometimes holds you up. However, if you're applying for one of the more central Canon characters, please try to be sure you can stop in with relative frequency. We're not talking a million posts a day, just make sure you can check in and touch bases often enough to keep up.
