Time: Day 4, Late Afternoon
Weather: Cloudy
Warnings: Sparkly short dresses, calling Sparkles, and teh interwebs
Characters: Tamika Weir
Tamika had finally gotten back to her room after a long morning. First thing she did was toss her jacket and the box Kevin had given to her to the floor and flop on her overly large bed. She considered going back to sleep, yet eventually decided she had more important things to do. Like find out if Kevin had actually been able to guess her size perfectly just by looking at her.
With that decided, she slipped her boots off, went to where she had left the box and pulled out the dress. "My God, it's short. Of course, so am I. So maybe short is good?" Tamika then pulled of her jeans and shirt and slipped into the small sparkly dress and the sparkly shoes. She then tried to walk to a mirror. Only to promptly faceplant on the floor. "How the fucking hell do women walk in these things?" After a few tries, she managed to get to the mirror. And she had to admit, she did look good in the short sparkly dress. Yet, any positive thoughts she had quickly diminished in the chorus of negative thoughts her practical mind churned out. "The damn thing barely covers my ass. Or anything else. Seriously, who would make a dress with no back? What's the point? And these shoes are not shoes. They are torture devices, plain and simple. Torture devices covered in sparkles, yet torture devices none the less."
Sighing in frustration at her ridiculous, yet sexy, outfit, she pulled it and the torture devices off and put her normal clothes back on. "Well, I'll just have to put up with it. Now, what the hell to do until then?" Again, sleep tempted her. Yet, she instead decided to pull out her cheap laptop and try to get online. To her surprise, she was actually able to get internet, though it was quite laggy. As she started playing music and began trying to get the Greenweb blogsite to open, a thought occured to her. She had never been on an actual date before and had no idea what to do on one. "Craaaap. Well, I still have time, so maybe I can ask someone for advice?" Brad came to mind first, and then her brain immediately shot that down as she remembered him stroking her ass. "He'd probably give me terrible advice to try and sabotage my date." Her mind then ran down a rather short list of everyone she knew in town. "Polly, too old. York, NO WAY IN HELL. Raincloud, wouldn't help and I have no way to contact him. Forrest...err, no. Just no. I'd rather ask his dog. Atlas...umm, no." Then she remembered Emily. She was a girl, seemed to know something about relationships, was pervy at all, and she had her phone number. Grabbing her jacket, she pulled Emily's business card out and dialed her number on the hotel phone while idly tapping buttons on her keyboard while waiting for the site to load. The call was pretty normal, until the page finally loaded and she saw GreyMockingbird's latest entry.
"Daaaaamn," Tamika said, forgetting that Emily could still hear her. Tamika hung up shortly afterwords and reread the slightly depressing entry. "So this is the nightmare Atlas was talking about last night. Damn, if I had a nightmare like that, I wouldn't want to talk about it either. Especially if the trial in his dream is in anyway related to the trial he mentioned last night." Tamika typed up a reply, yet she still felt quite bad for the poor guy. Glancing at her computer's clock, she decided that she wouldn't have enough time to see him before the date. "So how about after?" Tamika pondered this. It would have to be short if she was going to see him after, since shadows come out late. And she'd rather not have to deal with shadows and giant dogs while wearing a short sparkly dress with no back. "Or you could just stay there. He probably wouldn't mind." Tamika was didn't really care for the idea of staying at Atlas's, yet she still wanted to go see him. Just to make sure he was alright. That's it. She then went back to her slow internet surfing, hoping that her date and her visit to Atlas tonight would go well.
