"This is David Young Henning. I'm not in right now, so please leave a message after the tone. If it's Bureau business, please keep it brief and we can meet in person. Much appreciated."

[ Day 2, evening ] "Hey. Agent. It's me. You know, that guy you were following? You probably recognize my number and voice. Pick up." [ Half an hour later ] "Agent! You said to call, I am calling. Pick up or I'll be really pissed." [ Two hours later ] "Seriously. This is not funny. You do not tell me to call you and ignore me. If you don't call me back, I'm going to track you down. How would you like that?"

[Day 3, early morning] "Agent. It's Wes, as you probably figured. Thank you for finally getting around to responding. I appreciate the threat, too. We can meet at the Forest Park. Public enough for you? If so, I'll talk to you at nine, provided you show."

[Day 3, mid/late afternoon]
Hi David. I’m not sure how busy you are today... but I... hope to see you. At some point, anyway. I found out a few tidbits of information that you may be interested in. I’m heading back to the hotel sometime soon, and I was probably going to get the photos developed later today, should you want to be there for the big unveiling. [soft, tired laugh] You have my cell number, if you need to get a hold of me. I... Talk to you later. Bye.

[Day 3, Early Evening]
((Charlotte sounds absolutely exhausted, and her voice is a bit hoarse, as though she’s been doing a bit of shouting))
Hi David. I got your message. It... was REALLY good to hear your voice. [soft sigh] I’m heading back to the Deer Yard soon... Don’t think anything should sidetrack me. I won’t let anything sidetrack me. Save perhaps a long, hot bath once I get there. If I do (which, if I beat you to the hotel I probably will), I’ll slide my second key under your door should you want to come up instead of waiting for me to come down. Hope to see you soon. Bye.

[Day 3, Late Evening] "David! How... unexpected of you to be here. Bob didn't tell me you were coming. I'd say this news came as a pleasant surprise, but given the circumstances, I don't want to jump to any conclusions. Still, lunch sounds good. And don't worry about the hour; I was up late drinking with the locals and listening to them sing, and Deputy Emily just dropped me off a minute ago. I'll give you a call tomorrow after the police and I are done our business. ...Oh, this doesn't have to do with anything, but was that really your voice? You sound completely different, almost like Robert Downey Jr. How strange. Anyway, see you later."
