Gabriel wasn't particularly accustomed to being the one to be helped, and when he toppled off that stool and landed with his back to the floor, the last thing he expected was to be looking up at the face of a worried woman. He was caught between two extremes; squirming his way to the exit of the bar or hoping to the heavens that he could become invisible. He always had a way with first impressions.
He looked up at the young woman, trying to blink the haze of the fall from his vision. Her eyes, looking down at him with a soft concern, were clear blue. When you looked into them, you half expected to see fish swimming around her pupils, shy ones.
“U-Uhh…” He stuttered, squirming into an up-right position. “I…I…Uhh…Yeah. Y-Yeah I’m okay.”
He quickly moved to stare at his feet.

"I've got some band aids if you'd like one." she told him kindly. Digging through her purse (Bo-Bo falling out in the process) she held out the box of band aids in front of him. "They have monkey squirrels on them!" After a moment she realized he seemed rather nervous. Hoping to make him feel a little more comfortable she introduced herself. "I'm Ashlin by the way." Tilting her head to the side just a bit she asked curiously. "What's your name?"

With her hair finally firmly secured Emily left the bathroom with hopes it would that way for some time!
On her way back to the the table she spotted Ashlin talking to an attractive young man. Now if Emily didn't know better she would have thought Ashlin might have been trying to pick him this newcomer up...She had to laugh at herself though, with her current mindset Ashlin could have been talking to Todd or George and she would have though there was a love connection!
The young man in the scarf was unknown to her which meant one of two things, either he was passing through or Greenvale had yet another tourist/resident. It was such a shame they were getting so many tourist with such a brutal murderer still at large. Hopefully she, George and Agent York could catch the psycho soon!
Emily stepped behind Ashlin and looked up at the stranger. "Hey Ashlin! who's your new friend?" With a smile she put out her hand and said, "Hi there! I'm Emily! I haven't seen you around here before are you new in town?"

Too much was happening at once, and Gabriel felt his face burn bright red as he stumbled to his feet. He looked from the face of the new woman who had joined the scene, and then down to her hand; slender and feminine, yet with the dusted calluses of a hard working woman.
He gave her a wobbly smile and carefully shook her hand “H-Hello Emily. Um, I…yeah, I’m new here. V-Very new. Hah, I don’t make g-good first impressions, do I?” He let out a weak chuckle and looked back to Ashlin, wanting to see her ocean eyes again. There was something completely intriguing about them. He'd have to fight back the urge to draw them later. “And t-thanks for the offer, Ash…A…Ashlin.”

"If you need one just ask." she assured Gabe. tucking the band aids back in her purse. It was then that she noticed Bo-Bo was missing. Notcing him on the ground Ashlin quickly scoped up the little. "You need to be more careful." she scolded the plush doll quietly. "What if I hadn't seen you there on the floor?" Tucking him safely back her purse she turned to Gabriel again.
"You're new too Gabriel?" Ashlin asked happily smile bright, but not really expecting an answer. "I actually just moved here a week ago myself." Blinking she added "I don't think you're doing too bad. You seem quiet nice to me."

Gabriel only had a second to look at the plush doll that fell from Ashlin’s purse, but he quickly decided that it was none of his business.
“I-Its okay, pain is just a dull s-setback,” he said in a mousy tone, adding a smile “you did not cause it. No, no, no, no. Nope. Unless you can control bar stools. That would be cool…but kinda weird. Like…I mean, what would you do with a horde of bar stools?”
Gabriel’s nose twitched, and, instinctively, he turned his head. He brought his hand up to his nose, sneezing loudly. Looking down at his hand, he bit his lip. His nose was bleeding again…he cursed his fall. “T-Thank you. I’m glad I don’t c-come off too bad…L-l-less talk about me,” he breathed, placing his palm firmly across his face. “W-What do you think of Greenvale?”

Emily smiled, "Oh we've had a lot of newcomers recently Gabriel! Also I don't worry you made a fine first impression...much better than mine!" Emily handed the man a napkin to wipe his nose. At least you didn't knock over an entire set up of delicious treats for a hungry Sheriff Department staff! Oh man was that awkward! I swear, if George wasn't there to keep everyone in line I think I would have been thrown out my first day on the job!"
She grabbed Gabriel's arm and pushed him towards their table. "Hey why don't you join our table? We are waiting on another newcomer to Greenvale! I would love to hear what brought you to our small town! We don't get a lot of visitor's to tell you the truth!"

Kevin just giggled quietly and shrugged. “Makeup is something I can’t resist, and I don’t get to wear it much lately, so I couldn’t miss this chance.” He smirked slightly as he noticed Emily and Ash. “Well-well, looks like we’re not the only ones enjoying our night out. I didn’t know Emily liked girls too, thought.” He looked at the girls thoughtfully, and turned back to Tamika. “If you don’t feel very comfortable with me alone, we could join them. I must admit, I do have that effect on most of people.”

Gabriel felt a wave of shock at the sudden contact, letting out a muffled yelp. “Sure!” he said, his voice slightly muffled by the tissue that he held to his nose. He allowed himself to be dragged to the table, and he silently hoped that his face would stop burning.
Gabriel allowed himself to analyse what Emily had just said, and his eyes lit up upon realizing a certain fact “Y-You’re a police officer? That’s brilliant!”
He sat himself down, shifting uncomfortably. “I…I’m an artist. I came here for the ex…exp…experience. It’s a beautiful place.” He gave a little smile and looked down at his fingers. “A-Although I only arrived today. As I said, I’m n-new.”

Ashlin wondered if it was normal for Emily to find people where ever she went and bring them into the fold. Not that she was complaining mind, she was quite happy Gabriel would be joining there table since he seemed quite nice, and she might soon be able to count another friend. It just seemed to Ash it was a tendency of Emily's, given their own meeting the night before.
Oh an artist! What a lovely profession. "Do you like landscapes?" Ashlin asked curiously, wondering if that was why he'd come to Greenvale. Since they all seemed to be sharing the professions she offered "I'm opening a bookshop, though we're not quite ready yet." She could probably have opened tomorrow if she didn't have Michael's lotion to deliver tomorrow. Ash didn't mind though, helping a friend was far more important to her than opening shop a day early. Oh perhaps she'd see about getting something of Gabriel's to hang in the store. Artwork might brighten up the place even more! She'd have to ask him about it later, after she'd seen some of his stuff.

19:28. Let's rock, Zach.
York was showered, clean shaven and decked out in the Cherryblossom suit (David hadn't seemed interested in wearing it for his own date; well, his loss) when he drove up to the Galaxy of Terror in one of the police cruisers borrowed from the department. On the one hand, so to speak, being able to use his left arm again was a thrill; almost like a friend he'd taken for granted until they moved to another state, who unexpectedly returned to the neighborhood just as the pains of separation were beginning to bloom. On the other hand, he was driving a police cruiser. He sighed as he parked in the lot and got out, looking morosely at his ride.
"Zach, no offense to law enforcement, but you'd think they could choose something a little more stylish for their pursuit vehicles. I could think of a dozen ways they could keep the blue-and-red motif without sacrificing aesthetics. Think of the Spider Mobile from the old Spider-Man comics. No criminal would be able to concentrate on the road with that thing crawling up their rearview mirror!"
He stopped talking as he entered the bar, dim lighting against tasteful crimson making it difficult to pick out individual faces unless you were sitting right across from them at a table. The perfect set-up for a romantic atmosphere. At the far end of the dining area was a stage hung with red velvet curtains, currently unoccupied. To his right lay the bar, with more empty stools than the SWERY65. It looked like most of the customers here were couples and small groups, seated in their own private bubbles of conversation.
York was in the process of scanning for Emily and Ashlin when he almost passed by two other people he very nearly failed to recognize. Tamika was wearing a sparkly dress! Amazing! And Kevin almost looked like a completely different person. He backed up until he was level with their table, looking back and forth as if he couldn't decide which of them had undergone a more significant change.
"Hello, Tamika! I didn't know Kevin was working on your car, too!" he said, impressed. "Don't worry though, I heard from Emily he's an exceptional mechanic. By the way, did Brad give you that message I asked him to deliver? He seemed a little distracted when I told him, so it might have slipped his mind."

"No, it's-" Tamika's attention was drawn away from Kevin as she noticed a newcomer, who was actually dressed quite plainly, fall off his stool. "Yay! I found someone clumsier than me! Maybe Special Needs can make fun of him for a while instead of me." She was slightly tempted to go over and make sure he was alright, yet one of the blondes Kevin had looked at had beat her to it. The blonde looked familiar, yet it wasn't Emily and Tamika couldn't quite place where she had seen her before. Before she could contemplate who the mysterious blond was, a sudden flash of pink and a VERY familiar face caught her attention.
"Oh hell no! Not right now!" To Tamika's great dismay, the man, dressed in a pink suit with little hearts, was none other than Special Needs Francis "Call Him York" Morgan. To his credit, he hadn't made fun of her yet, but this did nothing to make Tamika find him any more pleasent. Scowling, Tamika said firmly to the agent, "Agent Morgan, I don't know what the hell you told Brad to tell me, and I don't care. He probably did me a favor by not telling me. Now please do me a favor and go get torn to pieces by a horde of shadows."

Emily was so distracted by the new comer that she hadn't seen York's arrival to the bar.
"It is a beautiful area! You are an artist? Well you definitely picked a nice town, we actually have our own big art gallery."
"It's on the other side of town. I haven't been in it myself but I've heard it's quite lovely." Emily thought a moment, she had heard Diane was out of town at some art auction was she back? "You should really check it out it's owned by an local art enthusiast Diane Ames. I'm sure she would love to see some of your work when she's back in town."

“Yep!” he exclaimed, intertwining his fingers in his scarf, constantly looking from Ashlin to Emily “I-It’s why I thought Greenvale would be so beni…benifi…beneficial. Yes, I’m looking f-for employment here. I'd love i-if she actually liked my work"-he paused to let out a weak chuckle- "Wh..When will M-Miss Ames be back?”
He leaned back languidly, hoping his spine would stop throbbing with the pain of the fall. The colour of his cheeks had faded slightly, but he still knew that a steady flush feathered his face and throat. Losing his train of thought again, he looked back to Ashlin.
“A b-bookshop?” he cocked his head to the side, making a face that could convey either interest or enthusiasm. “That’s br-brilliant! Do you like to r-read?”

"Oh yes! I've never really been to found of television to be quite honest but I've always loved books." she told him happily. When she read she could lose herself in another world, imagine all the fantastic things . . . and it was the only time she wasn't looked at strangely for it. No one questioned you when you lost yourself in a book, or thought you crazy for it. She didn't understand why it had to be different when it wasn't a book and was just a girl and her doll. Tilting her head to the side just a bit she asked "Do you like to too Gabriel?"
