Time: Day 4, Evening Weather: Cloudy Warnings: Drunkenness, and George(?) Characters: OPEN Entering the lounge Ash smoothed out her dress, feeling just a bit self conscious, and out of place. It wasn't that she felt uncomfortable in the dress, a soft and fluttery pink thing she couldn't quite remember where or when she'd picked up, it was actually quite comfortable; if a bit better suited for spring. Ash just wasn't used to dressing up though and going out to fancy places, especially not with friends. But when Emily had invited her along her excitement had been so infectious that Ash could do nothing but happily agree. She was being silly really, worrying so much. It was just going to be a nice evening out, enjoying the company of new friends. Ash normally wasn't such a worrier, but social situations always put her a bit ill at ease. And if she needed him Bo-Bo was tucked safely away in her purse. That if nothing else gave the twenty-two year old comfort.

Emily had entered the Galaxy of Terror behind Ashlin. She had taken a moment to re-adjust her mother's pink satin pencil dress before heading inside. It was a little snug in the chest and her girls peaked out a bit more then she was used to... but other then that it fit rather nicely. She was also wore her mother's last birthday present, a thin gold leaf necklace. At the last minute Emily had also added a black cardigan to her ensemble just so she wouldn't feel completely exposed...even though she really was no where close to being indecent. To think I'm so self conscious now! Why just ten years ago often left the house wearing much less!Of course ten years ago she was still in the city where showing that much skin didn't raise any eyebrows. It was only after moving here to Greenvale did Emily tone down her unique fashion in an effort to stop the petty gossip about her lifestyle. She spotted a table near the bar and gently tugged on Ashlin's arm, "Come on Ashlin let's sit down over there and order something. We are a little earlier than what I told York on the phone and I'm a little hungry! Emily sat down and began to peruse the drink and dinner menu, not sure what she wanted. She gave her friend a smile, "Ashlin I must say you look incredibly adorable! It's a shame Michael couldn't be here tonight to see you...but luckily I can capture this moment for him to see at a later date, I brought my camera!" With a big grin Emily whipped out a small digital camera from her clutch and took a candid picture of the two of them. It wasn't the best Ashlin was making an "oh" face while Emily's eyes were half closed...but hey she had lots of time to take better ones later! Laughing she then said, "Go ahead and pick something to eat and drink it's on me!"

Blushing slightly when Emily mentioned Michael (and was she going to do that ever time he was brought up?) Ash felt her self relax a bit as well. She looked alright then? Good, she'd been a bit worried. Taken of guard by the sudden picture taking Ashlin blinked. "Thank you Emily. You look quite lovely by the way."
Peeking up from where she'd been looking through the menu she asked "Are you sure?" Why did people in Greenvale keep offering to treat her? Just because her shop wasn't open yet didn't mean she had no money. Ashlin almost wanted to pout, she didn't need charity. Really she'd taken care of herself for four years in foreign countries. But she supposed Emily was just trying to be friendly. Ash promised herself she'd treat Emily next time though to make up for it.
After a moment she finally said "This salmon thing sounds rather nice." Hmmm wait didn't "a la mode" mean "with ice cream"? That was rather interesting. At any rate Ash thought tonight it might be best to go strictly nonalcoholic. She'd gotten mostly done with Michael's lotion but it needed to set for a few hours before she could finish it, and Ashlin had no desire to be drunk while working on it. She'd tried something like that once and had ended up with no eyebrows for a month. The orange polka dots had distracted from it of course, but really it hadn't been one of her finer moments.

Emily scanned the menu."Hmm I think I'll have the chicken marcala with a glass of Ravenswood Merlot . I'm thinking we should actually wait before ordering any food though... it would be rude to already have our food before York arrives. So I'm just going to get my drink order in for now when the server comes by. Would you like a glass as well?"
She pushed the menu away and looked around the lounge. In a high contrast to last night at SWERY65 it was quiet in the Galaxy of Terror. Cameron was on stage playing a soft melody on the piano that she couldn't place and it was still rather early for the Greenvale dinner crowd so there only a handful of people milling around.
Emily was definitely looking forward to Carol's performance tonight, Thomas had mentions she would be performing a cover of a song called "Miss Stiletto Heels." Apparently it was a childhood favorite of the siblings and Emily looked forward to hearing it.
"So Ashlin what do you think so far? It's rather relaxing in here with the low lights and soft music don't you think? A perfect place for dinner conversation! Are you a fan of jazz?"

Tamika pulled her Celica into a parking space in front of the Galaxy of Terror. "Well, it doesn't LOOK like some weird strip club. From the outside anyway. And Emily said it's not a weird strip club." Tamika took on last look at herself in her car's rear view mirror. Her hair wasn't too unkempt, yet still could be considered a red fuzz ball. Her face had no makeup which sadly meant that the bruise on her left cheek, which had shrunk a bit, was still quite noticeable. "As much as I hate makeup, if I keep getting beat up like this, I may have to actually start using some. If only to keep myself from getting stared at all the time."Tamika sighed and grabbed her switchblade from its place on top of her jacket on the passenger side seat. She spun it in her hand a few times. One of the downsides to the dress Kevin had gotten her was a lack of pockets. That and the whole it barely covered her ass, no back, and the shoes being designed by sadists thing. "How the hell do people walk in those things comfortably anyway?" Sighing, she tossed the knife back on the jacket, climbed out of the car, and headed into what was hopefully not a strip club. Good news, it was not a strip club. Bad news, Kevin wasn't there yet. Tamika would just rather get this date over with, but it unfortunately looked like she'd have to wait for a bit. In a dress that showed off the large tattoo of a dark blue eagle on her upper back. And with a large bruise on her left cheek. Wonderful. Looking slightly nervous, Tamika slid into a chair at a table and proceeded to tap out rhythms to different songs she thought of on the table, completely oblivious to the two familiar blondes seated just a few tables away.

Kevin spent too much time getting ready for the night, and as a result, was slightly late, as usual…
He entered the bar wearing a slightly shimmering silver suit and a bright red tie. His now blonde hair with attached shoulder length fake curls was held in a pony tail with a small red bow, resting on his shoulder. He wore quite noticeable amount of makeup, dark smoky eyes, with skillfully mixed black, red and silver colors and slightly rosy, natural looking lip gloss. He took off all of his piercings thinking they wouldn’t match his current attire and left one long, red feather earring in his left ear.
“Ah, I’d so fuck myself right now.” He thought as he looked at himself in the mirror before leaving.
He went up to Tamika’s table, as he noticed her, smiling at her slightly. “I’ll be honest; you make this dress look even sexier than I thought you would.” He said, sitting down in front of her.

"It's very nice." Ashlin said happily, feeling much more at ease then she had earlier that day when she saw the smoke Emily couldn't see. Mostly she'd pushed the thought away, immersing herself in her projects. It was just a daydream, she told herself. A little too real and a little too vivid but just a day dream. Still the fear had been planted, and though Ash pushed it aside it sat there still in the pit of her stomach, gnawing away at a far off corner of her mind. Was she finally losing her mind it asked her. "Jazz is quite nice, though it isn't really my favorite." Ashlin had always liked music that was a little more acoustic. Once when she'd gone into a small hole in the wall CD place the teen behind the counter had called her choices "folk rock." Ash wasn't really sure what that meant, nor did it really matter much to her. She liked what she liked at that was really it.
From the corner of her eye she caught sight of something shimmery and silver. The blond man wearing the quite interesting outfit seemed familiar, though Ash couldn't quite place him. And he was, Ashlin blinked, "Isn't that Tamika?" she commented, looking at the blond man's companion.

"Tamika? Where!?" Emily turned her head around to peer at the table Ashlin was pointing to. It was Tamika! Emily faced Ashlin again and in a hushed squeal said, "Yes that's Tamika! She is here on a date with Kevin! You remember Kevin right? My friend? The guy with the blue hair last night?" She paused, "...well it's not blue anymore he's gone blond for his date!"
To have a better view of the couple Emily moved from her seat across the table to the one next to Ashlin so now both of their backs were towards the entrance. She leaned over in another excited whisper, "They are even matching!! Oh. Mmm. Geee! They are so adorable don't you think? They make a cute couple and that silver dress on Tamika looks fabulous. She really pulls it off too, I'm super jealous I could never where something as daring as that now!" Emily glanced down at her camera she had set on the table, she really wanted to get a picture of the two before their date was over. "Ashlin...you think they would mind if I asked to take their picture? I wouldn't go over now of course...but a bit later?"
She bit her lip and looked a little longingly at the couple ahead, "What do you think?"

"Thanks," Tamika said back, smiling a little while instinctively tugging slightly at the edge of her dress, still wishing it was longer.
"You look pretty good yourself, but I think you may have put on a bit more makeup than I did," she added, though in truth, she was trying to pretend he wasn't wearing such a garishly sparkly outfit. "Bleh, think nothing. I'm SURE he's got more makeup on than I do. And longer hair...He better not actually be just a really flat chested girl trying to pass as a guy."

"That's Kevin?" Blinking in surprise she looked at Tamika's companion again, squinted a bit, and tilted her head to the side. "Huh, I guess it is." Some how she was relieved to hear that Kevin was on a date with Tamika. Why did she keep feeling relieved when she heard that Kevin was interested in people? It didn't make any sense at all to her. After a few moments though it finally occurred to her. Had she been jealous last night? Because Kevin had been draped all over Michael?
That was, well actually that made a lot of sense didn't it? It explained at least why she didn't like Kevin all that much last night despite not even really speaking with him. Wait. . . then did that mean Emily had some feelings for York? Hadn't she seemed rather displeased that Kevin had been flirting with Agent York? But she was absolutely fine now when he was with Tamika.
Ashlin was pulled from her little revelation when Emily asked her if she thought the pair would mind having their picture taken. "I'm sure they wouldn't mind." Actually she had no clue how they'd feel on the matter but Emily looked like she so wanted to take the picture that Ashlin felt it would have been a kin to kicking a puppy to say anything else.

Emily clutched her digital camera, she really wanted to go ask now but she knew it would be inappropriate, the two just arrived and they needed time to settle down.
She continued to stare in their direction. "They both look like models from Light's fashion. Seriously it's like they stepped right out of my television for a night in Greenvale!" Emily sighed and turned to her companion, "So glamorous! By the way have you ever watched City Lights Ashlin? It's my most favorite shows! I know soap opera aren't the cream of the crop when it comes to television but for some reason I can't get enough of this show. It's really addicting!"

"Ah, well, I don't really much TV at all." she confessed. After a moment she added "But Bo-Bo quite enjoys soap operas. I think he watches City Lights actually. Hmmm Perhaps I'll start paying more attention when he watches them. . . " Finishing thoughtfully with a small hum Ash was the picture of sincerity. When ever she'd had to stay home sick as a child Bo-Bo had always insisted on watching the soaps. Ashlin would usually read a book while he watched though so she didn't mind the background noise.

As Gabriel entered The Galaxy of Terror, he allowed himself a minute to hesitate. The long taxi drive from the airport to the town of Greenvale had taken a lot out of him, and unpacking the ugly brown boxes that cluttered his new apartment wasn’t too pleasant either. All he wanted was to sit down and sip on a drink. But he hadn’t expected the place to be so classy. Of course it wasn’t anything like the 5-star clubs back in the city, but it sure was nice for a country bar. He hadn’t changed from the clothes that he wore upon arriving in town, and he regretted it. Everyone was dressed beautifully, and the guys had an air of superiority about them that made Gabriel bite his lip. He considered retreating back to his apartment, but it was too late for that now. He sat himself down on a stool, absently tangling his fingers in his scarf.

Emily could feel her hair start to fall out from her hair clip, figures when she takes the time to put it up it never stays how she wants it. To make adjustments she would need a mirror so a trip to the ladies was in order!
"Hey Ashlin, I'll be right back I need to use the restroom! If the waiter comes by let them know we are waiting on one more before we are going to order. I'll be back in a minute!"
With that Emily stood from the table and walked towards the restrooms holding her hair in place with her left hand praying she could re-secure it before her hair-do fell completely apart.

"Alright!" Ash agreed brightly. Left to her own devices Ash found her eyes wandering around the bar. It really was a very classy place, nothing like the crowded lively atmosphere of Swery. It was nice but if Ash had to choose she'd have to say she preferred Swery. There was something about the busy, crowded place that felt homey to Ash. She supposed it might have something to do with the number of nights she'd spent at pubs like that over the past four years.
Ashlin was distracted from her thoughts though when she noticed a young man in a scarf fall over from his stool not too far from their table. Hurrying over Ash knelled by him and asked in concern "Are you alright?"
