Time: Day 4, Late night
Weather: Cloudy
Warnings: An overly curious hacker boy?
Characters: Mister Stewart, Kevin Ashcroft
Curiosity had driven Kevin to many reckless deeds countless times, but it didn’t mean that past experience would stop the young man from trying again. If he hadn’t learned so much from his mistakes, he would have probably never reached any success in his work. At least that’s how he thought about it.
Kevin had heard about the mysterious man, who owned most of Greenvale, but surprisingly had never met him in person. He tried to hack into the mansion’s security system few years ago, simply out of curiosity, to see how well secured it would be, but all of his attempts had failed miserably, he was very upset about it for a while, but had no choice but to give up after countless attempts.
But, this time, this time it was going to be different, firstly, Kevin was a lot more experienced then he was at that time, and secondly, he had a lot better equipment than an old, crappy laptop he owned years back.
It was past midnight already; Kevin was sitting next to his trusted computer, sipping coffee and listening to the music in his headphones, so he wouldn’t bother anyone in hotel. Everything in Greenvale seemed quiet as usual, heck; he might even get used to it, it was a nice change of atmosphere. Kevin had no idea when was the last time he got a chance to work in peace.
He was absolutely sure this time it would work out perfectly, whoever this guy was, he couldn’t be better protected than some of the people he’d taken care of lately. Besides, he wasn’t going to damage anything seriously, just take a look at things…
Despite the fact that things were definitely going better this time, the security system did give him a lot more trouble than he’d expected. Was it actually updated? Geeze, what was that guy hiding there?
Now, Kevin wasn’t even sure he’d manage to break in, everything seemed to be so well thought through, it made him feel kind of pathetic, as if all of his knowledge didn’t mean anything at this moment, but he wasn’t going to give up easily this time.
He felt he was growing upset already, thought it didn’t stop him from giving it another shot, attacking the system every way possible, trying to damage its defense at least a bit, some weirdo old man definitely wasn’t going to beat him at it, whoever he was.
