My City Lights week recap and thoughts!
Posted: DAY 4, Very Early Morning
Well I had trouble sleeping again so I watched a bunch of City Lights episodes from earlier this week! I'm just about caught up
I got to say wow this current plot arc is heating up! I'm really liking Gwen, the upcoming fashion designer, who appeared on the show just two weeks ago. She's so sweet and her and Sam make the cutest BFFS! Also her crush on Derrick's secretary who's still in the closet is sooo adorable. I hope Gwen can convince her to be herself soon...
I should have known that even though Jake and Sam shared that kissed that there would still be obstacles in their way. How many bullshit assignments can Derrick come up with! I mean really! That need for a whole new advertising campaign because he "wasn't feeling it anymore" was a lame excuse. I wished Sam called him on the stupidity of scrapping 3 weeks of work when everything is due in less than two weeks
Speaking of Derrick, that whole side business he has going pimping out the Light Models is finally biting him in the ass! It won't be long until Logan figure's out that the dead Lights model was connected to his secret organization. But POOR GWEN! There was no need for Derrick to order an attack on her. She didn't know anything about Lisa! I guess his anger over the whole Sam/Jake thing made it too easy for him overreact to Gwen's innocent statement of talking with her the night before she was killed. I mean seriously just because she briefly spoke to her on the phone doesn't mean the model told her all about the sex racket. How would Gwen know one of Derrick's clients would accidentally kill her?
I was so worried when that masked assailant attacked Gwen on her way home! I was relieved those pedestrians walked by when they did and scared him off. Anyone else proud that Sam blew off that bogus over time work Derrick assigned to take Gwen to the police/hospital to make a statement? I was!
Seriously Derrick you are a douche, she wasn't "undermining your authority" as Light's Vice President there were extenuating circumstances. I mean the poor girl practically collapsed in front of Sam, there was no way she would ignore her to finish some lame assignment!
I can't wait for next week!!!
