Name: Kevin Ashcroft
Age:23
Gender: Male
Place of Residence: Deer Yard Hotel
Type of Car: Currently does not own any vehicles
Occupation/Skills:
Kevin does many things for the living and none of them are legal, from shoplifting to hacking computers. He is a talented hacker and a mechanic, but due to his laziness, he usually sticks to simple work, such as shoplifting and robbery.
Appearance:
5’6 in height, very skinny and pale skinned with light grey eyes. Kevin absolutely hates his golden blonde hair and usually dyes it in black or dark blue, along with his eyebrows. Kevin has quite feminine face features, rosy lips and cheeks, huge eyes and well shaped, straight nose with slightly defined jaw line. He is usually dressed up just like he used to dress up for school-punk style. Sometimes he thinks he should already grow out of it, but considering he can’t live without people turning their heads to look at him, he never really changes his style. He has 12 piercing all over his body and face but he rarely wears them lately, usually leaving only the one in tongue and few in his ears. He sometimes even wears make up, mostly just some black or silver eye shadows, if they fit his attire.
Personality:
Even thought Kevin has some troubles with the law and may be considered as a criminal by many people, he is generally friendly to everyone around him, always cheerful and ready to help those who are in need. He acts way too childish for his age more often than he should and is usually very reckless.
He is very straight forward, and thus may easily insult someone with zero bad intensions behind his words.
But, Kevin also understands where the line between his work and his personal life is.
As much as he likes to be careless and speak his mind around people, Kevin is a totally different person when it comes to work. He doesn’t care if anyone will get hurt by his actions, while he is doing what he wants. Even if he might regret it later, he will do anything to achieve his goals.
Despite his immature personality, Kevin is very intelligent, especially when it comes to computers and mechanics; he doesn’t miss a chance to show off his skills and often brags about himself.
Kevin is an openly bisexual person, and shamelessly flirts with everyone he likes, but his heart belongs to one person only, although, he understands perfectly well that this relationship is not meant to be, and doesn’t bother much about it, not like he used to, anyway. He had been in love with one man since he was 16 and this obsessive feeling had only increased over the years, but he was well aware that the man had no interest in him at all, so, as time passed, he accepted it and stopped getting depressed over a thing he would never be able to change.
He may sometimes act as a tease, if he is in the mood, and often flirts with people even if he really doesn’t mean anything by it. It’s something like a bad habit.
He has generally rather hyper personality and loves being in the centre of attention, always dressed up slightly inappropriately and acting the same way.
History:
Kevin Ashcroft was born in an ordinary family living in Greenvale. His childhood was quite a happy one; he spent a lot of time outside, playing with other children or wandering around the town.
Despite the fact that his parents were always very understanding and kind to him, Kevin was never close with them. His family moved away from Greenvale when Kevin was 13, and even thought he enjoyed living in a big city, he missed his hometown, especially when he wanted to get away from his new life, which happened quite often.
Kevin ended up in a wrong company very soon and it felt like his life got interesting again, actually, it had never been this interesting before. He loved a good challenge, and now he had many of them: disarming alarms, picking locks, hacking, he loved it all and he was quite good at it.
He was caught few times and his parents had to bail him out, after the third time Kevin’s father decided it was enough and told him that this was the last time he helped his son. Now, Kevin was on his own. Not that he had anything against it, after some time he started handing out with more serious criminals, craving for something more challenging.
And that was when he met the person who changed his life completely. The gang was under surveillance by someone and Kevin knew it, but he didn’t want to do anything about it, for the time being.
When he found out about the person who was keeping an eye on them, he was fascinated by him and his work so much, he decided he wouldn’t interfere with the man’s investigation, and so he didn’t, practically letting this man get to the people he worked with.
The man turned out to be a middle aged investigator; he was quite good looking for his age and by the look of things was very intelligent and eccentric. He was nothing like other people from law enforcement Kevin had met before.
The interrogation after the arrest was a long one, and Kevin could easily see that he was not the only one who enjoyed it. The investigator was very kind to him and even called him “smart kid”, which made Kevin utterly happy. He actually let him go, arresting the rest of the gang and asking him to leave the city for some time and not go get into any more trouble.
Kevin happily complied and moved back to Greenvale, living peacefully for a while. He wrote to the investigator many times, but received only few stiff responds, it was heartbreaking for him, because he already felt he was in love with this man, thought he hardly knew him.
Kevin decided not to stalk him further after he found out that the man had a family and lived happily with them. But, his feelings never left him and Kevin often thought about writing to him again, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
He sold his house and moved away again at the age of 20, returning to his mother’s apartment in New York. His mother was happy to see her son again; they barely kept in touch over the years.
Kevin’s mother had divorced her husband after he kicked their son out and lived all alone now.
Kevin worked all alone now, he didn’t want to work on anyone and he made enough money to feed himself and his mother. Mother never asked him where the money came from, she only warned him to stay out of trouble and be careful, every time he left, and of course she knew he didn’t make the money legally, but what could she do?
Three years had passed since Kevin returned to his mother’s apartment, and he felt he missed Greenvale again, he worked too much lately, because his mother had some health problems for a while, and now he felt he needed some rest, away from that place. He didn’t have a place to stay in Greenvale now, but he could stay at the hotel, so that was not a problem. Kevin made sure his mother got better and left her quite a bit amount of money to spend while he was away. Kevin still felt guilty he was leaving her all alone again, but his mother wasn’t against it, she was actually happy her son would get some rest after all he had to go through lately and encouraged him to return to his home town.
RP Sample:
Greenvale used to be such a quiet place when Kevin was a child; nothing ever happened there, nothing interesting, nothing dangerous. But, apparently things do tend change over the years, even in Greenvale.
The town seemed all stirred up by the recent events and he also managed to get a glimpse of some new faces, maybe he wouldn’t get much rest this time, but this vacation could turn out more interesting than he thought.
He already overheard some people talking about the murder, but he honestly didn’t care much. He was kind of sorry for the girl, but that was about it.
“If I start asking around about it too much, I might get in trouble, and the last thing I need right now.” Kevin thought as he walked down the street, looking around with a bored expression on his face. He had to stay at the hotel, since he sold his house a while back. He always liked that hotel and was happy to stay there, especially because he knew the hotel didn’t get many visitors and it was always quiet there. As much as he loved being around people and having fun, now he felt like some sort of sociopath, his only wish to stay alone for a while.
He knew his depression would soon go away and he’d be his usual cheerful self again, if he found something interesting for himself to do. Oh no, he wasn’t going to get involved with that murder case, it would be too much, and probably wouldn’t end well, for him, anyway.
Well, there was one thing he wanted to do in this town, except getting some rest, now that he thought of it. He had wanted to do it for a while now, but never had the courage to. Maybe he could use all the commotion to his advantage.
