Tamika winced as Todd slapped her shoulder yet didn't really acknowledge his presence more than that, focusing entirely on the scene unfolding before her. She was a bit relieved when Emily walked out of her house fully clothed and appearing much calmer. Maybe, Tamika hoped, the scene hadn't affected her as drastically as it had first appeared to. She would have had to have seen that teenage girl's body before. So maybe she's used to seeing dead bodies by now? Or maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better after aiding in probably mentally scarring a perfectly nice person.
As Todd grew angry again and began to tell her things weren't looking good for "Team Todd", she knew she should have came up with some clever lie or another plan to reassure him, but at this point she just didn't care anymore.
"If he wants to kill me, let him kill me. My death would just make him suffer even more when the police eventually catch him and I then wouldn't be forced to help him in his twisted plan to get Emily any more. Besides, it's not like I haven't already had death stalking me for a while now." Yet then Emily suddenly ran into her house with her gun raised, shocking both her and Todd.
"What the hell? Is Anna's killer here too? What is going on in that house?" Tamika tried along with Todd to look into the house but neither of them could tell what was going on.
"God, I hope Emily is okay. Though George didn't look too worried. Maybe she just heard something. Or maybe he told her to check around the area just in case the killer is still nearby. In that case, she's running in the wrong direction." When George came out a bit later alone, Tamika was a bit curious, though not as much as Todd. She prayed that Emily not being present was a good thing and not that Todd was right and George was angry with her for her weakness or something like that.
Tamika watched intrigued as George moved closer to the dead whore and...cut out her tongue? She was just as puzzled as Todd by this, though she remained silent. At first she thought that maybe he was taking the tongue as evidence, but Todd yelled that taking tongues was not part of procedure.
"Why then would he tamper with a crime scene? Maybe this is a unique circumstance that requires the tongue for evidence? Todd doesn't exactly seem to be a model police officer so I shouldn't be trusting his word. Though...it does still seem odd. Grrr, I wish there was someone from the police I could talk to, but Emily is not going to want to talk about the dead body that was in her backyard and I don't know anyone else from the police. Maybe Atlas would have some idea, but-." Then Tamika heard a young girl's scream.
In the yard Tamika now saw the redheaded little girl that she and Atlas had met yesterday (apparently named Paige from what Todd was saying) screaming in front of the dead body. Tamika had forced herself to watch most of this spectacle, yet at the girl's appearance, Tamika shut her eyes and looked away, trying to deny the fact that now she had not only aided in mentally scarring Emily, but had also aided in traumatizing a young girl. For a while, Tamika could do nothing bit sit in her seat, trying to hold back her tears, wishing that anyone but that little girl had stumbled upon the dead body. After a bit, Tamika managed to look up and saw George take the little girl into the house. For most of this, she had ignored Todd, yet as he yelled about how awful it was that they had just traumatized a girl, Tamika suddenly turned toward Todd.
"Oh, I'm not so sure," Tamika stated sarcastically, "George is sure going to be pissed at Emily for letting a little girl slip onto a crime scene. This will be suuure to put her on George's bad side and make her more willing to go to YOU! So what if we just TRAUMATIZED A LITTLE GIRL?! You'll get Emily in the end because she'll have nooo idea that you've MURDERED, KIDNAPPED, AND TRAUMATIZED PEOPLE! All in the name of TEAM FUCKING TODD, RIGHT?!?" She was glaring darkly at Todd when she finished, every last bit of rage she felt towards him having been poured into that one rant. Tamika then turned back to the windshield, staring at nothing in particular, not caring any longer one bit about whether he was going to kill her or not. All she knew was that he deserved, drugs or no, to suffer for what he's done. And that she deserved to suffer right along with him.
"I hope you're happy."
