Time to break in the chatter forum. XD I'm kinda...music-minded, and I tend to make playlists and song associations with my characters. Anyone else do the same? You can post songs that remind you of other characters, too! I'll start off with three. "Smoke and Mirrors" by Poets of the Fall Mister Stewart's POV, referring to himself and Michael. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oytl837TBGw&feature=related
I danced a tango with my hubris high on youth We swept across the dance floor to subjective truth
But there was no harmony there No reason for coexistence Nothing to span the distance, now
Do we even know who we are Living like all life is forfeit Like we can just go redefine it Regardless what we broke
Who died and made us stars With our intellectual gambits Our millionaire flair and our antics We're like mirrors seen through smoke
I tried a shanty with the fool to find my pace Anything from puns to jests to intertwine our ways
But there was no loyalty to hope And funny the need for mercy How it makes us bleed all mercy, now
Do we even know who we are...
Now the melody's void of sympathy cos that shit's in byte size bits on YouTube so tell me what am I supposed to do When the malady's no remedy Till we reach the lowest absolute And necessity will finally force something through what's walling you
Do we even know who we are..
"All the Right Moves" by OneRepublic Michael's POV. Referring to how he protects Mister Stewart, even though it's a losing battle. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7txuV3IUeE&feature=related
All the right friends in all the right places So yeah, we're going down They've got All the right moves in all the right faces So yeah, we're going down
Let's paint the picture Of the perfect place They've got it better then when anyone's told ya They'll be the King of Hearts, and you're the Queen of Spades Then we'll fight for you like we were your soldiers
I know we got it good, but they got it made, And their grass is getting greener each day, I know things are looking up, but soon they'll take us down, Before anybody's knowing our name
They've got...
All the right friends in all the right places So yeah, we're going down They've got All the right moves in all the right faces So yeah, we're going down
They say Everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going Yeah, we're going down They say Everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going Yeah, we're going down
Do you think I'm special? Do you think I'm nice? Am I bright enough to shine in your spaces? Between the noise you hear, and the sounds you like Are we just sinking the ocean of faces? It can't be possible... the rain can fall Only when it's over our heads. The sun is shining everyday, but it's far away. Over the world that's dead.
They've got, they've got...
All the right friends in all the right places So yeah, we're going down They've got All the right moves in all the right faces So yeah, we're going down [Repeat]
They say Everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going Yeah, we're going down They say Everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going Yeah, we're going down
It don't matter what you see I know I could never be Someone that'll look like you. It don't matter what you say I know I could never fake Someone that could sound like you.
All the right friends in all the right places So yeah, we're going down They've got All the right moves in all the right faces So yeah, we're going down [Repeat]
They say Everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going Yeah, we're going down They say Everybody knows, everybody knows where we're going Yeah, we're going down
Yeah, we're going down [repeat x2]
All the right moves... heeey Yeah we're going down They say All the right moves... heeey Yeah we're going down
"Stop and Stare" by OneRepublic Michael's POV. How he feels behind the facade. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPEaK94eig4
This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us It's time to make our move, I'm shaking off the rust I've got my heart set on anywhere but here I'm staring down myself, counting up the years Steady hands, just take the wheel... And every glance is killing me Time to make one last appeal... for the life I lead
Stop and stare I think I'm moving but I go nowhere Yeah I know that everyone gets scared But I've become what I can't be, oh Stop and stare You start to wonder why you're here not there And you'd give anything to get what's fair But fair ain't what you really need Oh, can you see what I see
They're trying to come back, all my senses push Untie the weight bags, I never thought I could... Steady feet, don't fail me now Gonna run till you can't walk Something pulls my focus out And I'm standing down...
Stop and stare I think I'm moving but I go nowhere Yeah I know that everyone gets scared But I've become what I can't be, oh Stop and stare You start to wonder why you're here not there And you'd give anything to get what's fair But fair ain't what you really need Oh, you don't need
What you need, what you need...
Stop and stare I think I'm moving but I go nowhere Yeah I know that everyone gets scared But I've become what I can't be Oh, do you see what I see...

At first this made me think it might be from Emily's POV about York, but some of it reminds me of the scene after Thomas knocks York out in the Galaxy of Terror, or York making the police wait while he goes off and does his own thing. In general it kind of describes the whole game, actually. Even the title kind of gives it away: "Red Vines"Aimee Mann They're all still on their honeymoon Just read the dialogue balloon Everyone loves you Why should they not? And I'm the only one who knows That Disneyland's about to close I don't suppose you'd give it a shot Knowing all that you've got
Are cigarettes and red vines Just close your eyes, 'cause baby You never do know And I'll be on the sidelines With my hands tied Watching the show
Well, it's always fun and games until It's clear you haven't got the skill In keeping the gag from going too far So you're running 'round the parking lot 'Til every lightning bug is caught Punching some pinholes In the lid of a jar While we wait in the car
With cigarettes and red vines Just close your eyes, 'cause baby You never do know And I'll be on the sidelines With my hands tied Watching the show
And tell me, would it kill you Would it really spoil everything If you didn't blame yourself Do you know what I mean?
Cigarettes and red vines Just close your eyes, 'cause baby You never do know And I'll be on the sidelines With my hands tied Watching the show Watching the show...

"I Feel Fantastic" by Jonathan Coulton York. XD' I know he isn't a druggie or anything, but something about this song...almost my whole family thinks of him when they hear it. XD' I think it's the energy and general sense of "Well, okay then!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9F6zGP3kkc
I get up early when the sleeping pill wakes me I take a wake up pill and fill with energy I power on hard and I check my messages But I don't have any messages I take a driving pill and head to my car I drive around a bit cuz work isn't very far I call my phone and I check my messages But I don't have any messages
All I know is driving on drugs feels better when they're prescription All I know is the world looks beautiful, the world looks so damn beautiful
I feel fantastic And I never felt as good as how I do right now Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day When I felt the way that I do right now, right now. I feel fantastic And I never felt as good as how I do right now Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day When I felt the way that I do right now, right now, right now.
Work is anything but quiet these days I try to medicate my concentration haze I can feel/see the day unfold in front of me So I take the stairs and hit the gym The phone is ringing when I get to my desk What was a stinging's now a sharp pain in my chest So I take a Calminex and just chill And then it's time for lunch again
All I know is work is easy when you don't stress out about deadlines All I know is I take my medicine I always take my medicine.
And I feel fantastic And I never felt as good as how I do right now Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day When I felt the way that I do right now, right now, right now. I feel fantastic And I never felt as good as how I do right now Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day When I felt the way that I do right now, right now, right now. (6 right now's that fade out)
Sometimes I'd like to slow things down Enjoy the moment But when I look the moment's gone
Work is over but I can't stay to work late Got to leave and get ready for my second date With a pretty girl that I met at the pharmacy Right in the prescription line I take a pill for my social anxiety I get a table and a nice bottle of chablis Now it's getting late and there's still no sign of her I have another glass of wine
All I know is the wine lasts longer when you don't gotta share it with someone All I know is the steak tastes better when I take my steak tastes better pill
And I feel fantastic And I never felt as good as how I do right now Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day When I felt the way that I do right now, right now. And I feel fantastic And I never felt as good as how I do right now Except for maybe when I think of how I felt that day When I felt the way that I do right now, right now, right now.

A selection from my Wes playlist: "I Am A Rock" by Simon and Garfunkelwww.youtube.com/watch?v=IVLFlkehGuU&feature=relatedMore or less speaks for itself. A winters day In a deep and dark December; I am alone, Gazing from my window to the streets below On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow. I am a rock, I am an island. Ive built walls, A fortress deep and mighty, That none may penetrate. I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain. It's laughter and it's loving I disdain. I am a rock, I am an island.
Don't talk of love, But Ive heard the words before; It's sleeping in my memory. I wont disturb the slumber of feelings that have died. If I never loved I never would have cried. I am a rock, I am an island.
I have my books And my poetry to protect me; I am shielded in my armor, Hiding in my room, safe within my womb. I touch no one and no one touches me. I am a rock, I am an island.
And a rock feels no pain; And an island never cries. "The Dark of the Matinee" by Franz Ferdinandwww.youtube.com/watch?v=cKyG1dRoDlAMostly for the sound and particularly the bit I italicized. You take your white finger Slide the nail under the top and bottom buttons of my blazer Relax the fraying wool, slacken ties And I'm not to look at you in the shoe, but the eyes, find the eyes
Find me and follow me through corridors, refectories and files You must follow, leave this academic factory You will find me in the matinee The dark of the matinee It's better in the matinee The dark of the matinee is mine Yes it's mine
I time every journey to bump into you, accidentally I charm you and tell you of the boys I hate All the girls I hate All the words I hate All the clothes I hate How I'll never be anything I hate You smile, mention something that you like or How you'd have a happy life if you did the things you like
Find me and follow me through corridors, refectories and files You must follow, leave this academic factory You will find me in the matinee The dark of the matinee It's better in the matinee The dark of the matinee is mine Yes it's mine
So I'm on BBC2 now, telling Terry Wogan how I made it and What I made is unclear now, but his deference is and his laughter is My words and smile are so easy now Yes, It's easy now Yes, It's easy now
Find me and follow me through corridors, refectories and files You must follow, leave this academic factory You will find me in the matinee The dark of the matinee It's better in the matinee The dark of the matinee is mine Yes it's mine "You Horoscope for Today" by Weird Alwww.youtube.com/watch?v=_iCwmMlJDSESounds like his sense of humor. Here's selected bits of the lyrics, because there are a lot of them. "Aquarius There's travel in your future when your tongue freezes to the back of a speeding bus Fill that void in your pathetic life by playing Whack-A-Mole seventeen hours a day
Pisces Try to avoid any Virgos or Leos with the Ebola virus You are the true Lord of the Dance, no matter what those idiots at work say"
"Taurus You will never find true happiness - what you gonna do, cry about it? The stars predict tomorrow you'll wake up, do a bunch of stuff, and then go back to sleep"
"Virgo All Virgos are extremely friendly and intelligent - except for you Expect a big surprise today when you wind up with your head impaled upon a stick"
"Now you may find it inconceivable or at the very least a bit unlikely that the relative position of the planets and the stars could have a special deep significance or meaning that exclusively applies to only you, but let me give you my assurance that these forecasts and predictions are all based on solid, scientific, documented evidence, so you would have to be some kind of moron not to realize that every single one of the is absolutely true.
Where was I?
Libra A big promotion is just around the corner for someone much more talented that you Laughter is the very best medicine, remember that when your appendix bursts next week
Scorpio Get ready for an unexpected trip when you fall screaming from an open window Work a little harder on improving your low self-esteem, you stupid freak"
"Capricorn The stars say that you're an exciting and wonderful person, but you know they're lying If I were you, I'd lock my doors and windows and never never never never never leave my house again"

I have another one. XD' So the other day I was listening to this song and realized, HOLY CRAP, THIS ACTUALLY FITS THE PLOT OF THE WHOLE GAME JUST ABOUT. So you get a little analysis with the lyrics this time. XD' "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap THE WHOLE GAME. At least, some major bits of it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4OLQB7ON9w
where are we? what the hell is going on? ((The player's first thoughts about the game. Also, York's dream.)) the dust has only just begun to form crop circles in the carpet sinking feeling
spin me round again and rub my eyes, this can't be happening when busy streets a mess with people would stop to hold their heads heavy ((The town is disturbed by Anna's death. York realizes how tight-knit Greenvale is, and how everyone is upset over Anna.))
hide and seek trains and sewing machines all those years they were here first ((The Shadows, and York learning to hide from them. Also learning of Greenvale's past.))
oily marks appear on walls where pleasure moments hung before the takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this still life ((Muse's Gallery. For that matter, any of the ritual spots...lumbermill, gallery, secret rooms.))
hide and seek trains and sewing machines (oh, you won't catch me around here) blood and tears (hearts) they were here first ((Again, learning of the town's sordid past. More hiding from Shadows and RK.))
Mmmm whatcha say, Mmm that you only meant well? well of course you did Mmmm whatcha say, Mmmm that it's all for the best? of course it is Mmmm whatcha say? Mmmm that it's just what we need you decided this whatcha say? Mmmm what did she say? ((Both Thomas's reaction to Emily talking him down and York's reaction to George's rationale.))
ransom notes keep falling out your mouth mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut outs speak no feeling no I don't believe you you don't care a bit, you don't care a bit ((York/Zach to Kaysen.))
(hide and seek) ransom notes keep falling out your mouth mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut outs
(hide and seek) speak no feeling no i don't believe you you don't care a bit, you don't care a (you don't care a) bit
(hide and seek) oh no, you don't care a bit oh no, you don't care a bit
(hide and seek) oh no, you don't care a bit you don't care a bit you don't care a bit

Heard this song on Stargate Universe, and in re-listening to it I realized that it worked.
"Breathe" by Alexi Murdoch
The whole game, possibly York searching for answers.
In the quiet of the shadow In the corner of a room Darkness moves upon you Like a cloud across the moon
You're a-wearing all the silence Of a constant that will turn Like the windmill left deserted Or the sun forever burn
So don't forget to breathe Don't forget to breathe Your whole life is here No eleventh hour reprieve So don't forget to breathe
Keep your head above water But don't forget to breathe
And all the suffering that you've witnessed And the hand prints on the wall They remind you how it's endless How endlessly you fall
And the answer that you're seeking For the question that you found Drives you further to confusion As you lose your sense of ground
So don't forget to breathe Don't forget to breathe Your whole life is here No eleventh hour reprieve So don't forget to breathe
Keep your head above water But don't forget to breathe
Breathe....
Don't forget to breathe Don't forget to breathe You know you are here But you find you want to leave So don't forget to... breathe
Just breathe Just breathe Just breathe... Just breathe... Just breathe...

Heard this song playing an MMO called APB (now defunct, though another company is reviving it.) Initially, I pegged as a theme for an Ace Attorney lawyer, but felt it fit Atlas. "The Truth" By Bulletproof Messenger Atlas in either in heat of an argument, such as in court or otherwise creating scenarios in his head.www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_h5lM_7yXI(Verse 1) It seems to be disastrous When the walls come tumblin down But defeat don't come to fast for us Cause you don't complete me And you won't defeat me (Prechorus) You can try but you won't defeat me I don't lie that you won't defeat me I won't die cause you won't defeat me Just get back, get back, get back (Chorus) Just say what you feel And say what you mean Don't fear what the truth may have to bring It may cut you deep but it cuts you clean So this is your chance to be redeemed (Verse 2) Some say it may be blasphemous That you keep on tellin these lies But it happens to the best of us So don't try to beat me cause you won't defeat me (Pre Chorus) (Chorus) (Chorus 2/3 continued) Just say what you feel and say what you mean Don't fear that the truth may ruin these things You're caught in a web created by lies Don't promise me everything's alright (Bridge) Cause I'm, so tried of being so shut out So why cover yourself in so much doubt Good bye, I'm letting it go Why try, cause everything will fall back into place Just get back, get back, get back (Chorus 1+2)

I never stop. XD' "Where Do We Draw The Line" by Poets of the Fall Harry AND Michael. Italicized is Harry, plain is Michael, bold is both. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTXVMGbpVRw&feature=related
On your palm an endless wonder Lines that speak the truth without a sound In your eyes awaits the tireless hunger Already looks for prey to run down
So why do we keep up this charade How do we tell apart the time to leave from the time to wait
What does tomorrow want with me What does it matter what I see If it can't be my design Tell me where do we draw the line
The dance of flames and shadows in the street Make poetry nobody's ever heard The weight of loneliness stands on your feet The cage already there around the bird
So why don't we join the masquerade Before it all falls apart before our love becomes insatiate
What does tomorrow want with me What does it matter what I see If I can't choose my own design Tell me where do we draw the line
Where's the cooling wind Where's the evergreen field Where's my mother's open arms Where's my father lionheart S'like the sun's gone down Sleeps in the hallowed ground now With the autumn's browns leaves With the one who never grieves
What does tomorrow want with me What does it matter what I see If we all walk behind the blind Tell me where do we draw the line
Whatever tomorrow wants from me At least I'm here, at least I'm free Free to choose to see the signs This is my line

Hey! A Smoking Man song I can share that isn't a spoiler! "Labyrinth" by Oomph! Smoking Man's POV, talking to Charlotte in the Lumbermill thread. Even the video works! www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3lndvRhS_M - Original German www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCSbi3GnkKA - English version! Raspy and everything!
Translation:
Left, right, straight ahead, There is no way out, you're dead Left, right, straight ahead, There is no way out, you're dead
Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead
The madness here has locked you up And now your perfect world is fucked It's taken root inside your mind Run child run, run for your life
You don't know now who you are You don't know now what love is for The mirrored face you see is strange There's no one here to share your pain
Knock, knock, let me in Let me be your secret sin Knock knock, knock knock Knock, knock, let me in Let me be your secret sin Knock, knock, let me in Let me be your secret sin
Left, right, straight ahead You're in the labyrinth Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead No one here can tell you Which direction Is the right one to take Child, for heaven's sake
Left, right, straight ahead You're in the labyrinth Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead No one here can tell you Who is good or bad Don't make a mistake Child, for heaven's sake
Time and again, you've kept me out And hardened up your heart in doubt That me inside your second skin Has spoiled your thinking yet again
When I possess your soul, I'll say things And use you as my personal plaything The time will come I'll dull your senses If you don't stop, this game is endless
Left, right, straight ahead You're in the labyrinth Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead No one here can tell you Who is good or bad Don't make a mistake You're in the labyrinth You're in the labyrinth
Left, right, straight ahead You're in the labyrinth Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead No one here can tell you Who is good or bad Child, for heaven's sake
Left, right, straight ahead You're in the labyrinth Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead No one here can tell you Which direction Is the right one to take Child, for heaven's sake
Left, right, straight ahead You're in the labyrinth Left, right, straight ahead Left, right, straight ahead No one here can tell you Who is good or bad
Left, right, straight ahead, There is no way out, you're dead Left, right, straight ahead, There is no way out, you're dead.

For some reason or other, this song makes me think of the Raincoat Killer. ;D "Slaughter Your World" by Richard Raincoat Killer, on any given day www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcbazH6aE2g
Excitement abounds I almost can't wait Relax, I don't want your baby I already ate Though I do tend to generally kill Kill things that don't fight back
I see this village What does it hold? What shall I butcher them with Fire or cold? Running from me sure you'd think 'He's a pathological bloodthirsty homicidal maniac!'
I'd kill kittens and puppies and bunnies I'd maim toddlers and teens and then more
You see a wife? I see a widow But what then? Can't you see? I'd kill four!
I want to incinerate and decapitate I want to melt Want to melt some faces Watching the peasants...what do they call it? Ahh...grieve!
I suppose that being undead there's not much to life A soul is needed for loving...feeling... How does this all not make me...what's that word again? Heave!
You've nowhere to hide Nowhere to run Your village will burn like the heart of the sun! With infinite glee It's going to be me That slaughters the world!
How could I glare into these eyes And then not stab them? How could I stare at their loss And then not laugh? I'd cut him in half Then I'd graft His head back onto his shoulders Or after I'd lop it I'd make a puppet On top of a staff!
I am a lord that is sometimes bored Have some urges and need to fulfill them After my mayhem I simply don't...what's the word? Care!
The stench in the air The smell of the gore The carnage far greater than any war My legacy Death becomes...me! I'll slaughter the world

"Late Goodbye" by Poets of the Fall Henning and Charlotte driving to the hospital after the Lumbermill. www.youtube.com/watch?v=atKv1JyQgV8
In our headlights, staring, bleak, beer cans, deer's eyes On the asphalt underneath, our crushed plans and my lies Lonely street signs, powerlines, they keep on flashing, flashing by
And we keep driving into the night It's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye And we keep driving into the night It's a late goodbye
Your breath hot upon my cheeck, and we crossed, that line You made me strong when I was feeling weak, and we crossed, that one time Screaming stop signs, staring wild eyes, keep on flashing, flashing by
And we keep driving into the night It's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye And we keep driving into the night It's a late goodbye
The devil grins from ear to ear when he sees the hand he's dealt us Points at your flaming hair, and then we're playing hide and seek I can't breathe easy here, less our trail's gone cold behind us Till' in the john mirror you stare at yourself grown old and weak
And we keep driving into the night It's a late goodbye, such a late goodbye...

"Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie Bianca as her everyday self and her everyday life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_HXUhShhmY
Sun been down for days A pretty flower in a vase A slipper by the fireplace A cello lying in its case
Soon she's down the stairs Her morning elegance she wears The sound of water makes her dream Awoken by a cloud of steam She pours a daydream in a cup A spoon of sugar sweetens up
And She fights for her life As she puts on her coat And she fights for her life on the train She looks at the rain As it pours And she fights for her life As she goes in a store With a thought she has caught By a thread She pays for the bread And She goes... Nobody knows
Sun been down for days A winter melody she plays The thunder makes her contemplate She hears a noise behind the gate Perhaps a letter with a dove Perhaps a stranger she could love
And She fights for her life As she puts on her coat And she fights for her life on the train She looks at the rain As it pours And she fights for her life As she goes in a store With a thought she has caught By a thread She pays for the bread And She goes... Nobody knows
And She fights for her life As she puts on her coat And she fights for her life on the train She looks at the rain As it pours And she fights for her life Where people are pleasently strange And counting the change And She goes... Nobody knows

And now, a song for the Shadows! Or... people dealing with seeing Shadows for the first time, rather. ;D
Somebody Save Me by Full Blown Rose
Can somebody help me
I'm being haunted by a whisper A chill comes over me I've been trapped inside this moment I'm not a victim, I'm not a freak
Free me Before I slip away Heal me Wake me from this day Can somebody help me?
I've seen the face of my affliction of my reality I'm being tortured by the future of things that are yet to be
I'm being haunted by a vision It's like the moment never comes I feel the burden of confusion, always searching...on the run
Free me Before I slip away Heal me Wake me from this day
Can somebody help me? Somebody help me
Now, I'm not a hero...no But the weight of the world's on my soul These images burn in my eyes They're burning me up inside
Free me Before I slip away Heal me Wake me from this day Can somebody help me?
Free me Before I slip away Heal me Wake me from this day Can somebody help me? Somebody help me Somebody help me

"Our Solemn Hour" by Within Temptation Harry and Micheal trying to warn everyone and worrying about murders in Greenvalewww.youtube.com/watch?v=p4h1wciz45oSanctus Espiritus Redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus Insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus Sanctus Espiritus Sanctus Espiritus In my darkest hours I could not foresee That the tide the tide could turn so fast to this degree Can't believe my eyes How can you be so blind Is the heart of stone No empathy inside Time keeps on slipping away and we haven't learned So in the end now what have we gained Sanctus Espiritus Redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus Insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus Is this what we deserve Can we break free From chains of never-ending agony Are they themselves to blame The misery The pain Didn't we let go Allowed it Let it grow If we can't restrain The beast which dwells inside It will find its way Somehow Somewhere in time Will we remember all of the suffering Cause if we fail it will be in vain Sanctus Espiritus Redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus Insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus Is this what we deserve Can we break free From chains of never-ending agony Sanctus Espiritus Sanctus Espiritus Sanctus Espiritus Redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus Insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus Is this what we deserve Can we break free From chains of never-ending agony Sanctus Espiritus Redeem us from our solemn hour Sanctus Espiritus Insanity is all around us Sanctus Espiritus Is this what we deserve Can we break free From chains of never-ending agony

A Zach/York song! Yeah, I make very odd connections. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDWgsQhbaqU Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
When I was a young boy My father took me into the city To see a marching band He said, "Son, when you grow up Would you be the savior of the broken The beaten and the damned??
He said, "Will you defeat them Your demons and all the non-believers The plans that they have made? Because one day, I'll leave you A phantom to lead you in the summer To join the Black Parade"
Sometimes I get the feeling She's watching over me And other times I feel like I should go And through it all, the rise and fall The bodies in the streets And when you're gone we want you all to know
We'll carry on, we'll carry on And though you're dead and gone, believe me Your memory will carry on, we'll carry on And in my heart, I can't contain it The anthem won't explain it
And while that sends you reeling From decimated dreams Your misery and hate will kill us all So paint it black and take it back Let's shout out loud and clear Do you fight it to the end?
We hear the call to carry on, we'll carry on And though you're dead and gone, believe me Your memory will carry on, we'll carry on And though you're broken and defeated You're weary widow marches
On and on we carry through the fears Disappointed faces of your peers Take a look at me 'Cause I could not care at all
Do or die, you'll never make me Because the world will never take my heart Though you try, you'll never break me We want it all, we wanna play this part
Won't explain or say I'm sorry I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scar Give a cheer for all the broken Listen here, because it's only
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero Just a boy who wanna sing his song Just a man, I'm not a hero I don't care!
We'll carry on, we'll carry on And though you're dead and gone, believe me Your memory will carry on, you'll carry on And though you're broken and defeated You're weary widow marches on
Do or die, you'll never make me Because the world will never take my heart Though you try, you'll never break me We want it all, we wanna play this part (We'll carry on)
Do or die, you'll never make me Because the world will never take my heart Though you try, you'll never break me We want it all, we wanna play this part (We'll carry on)
